Default Guitar Hero

Hey guys,
I'm a big fan of guitar hero, but i have a problem.
Christmas 2008, i got World Tour, with just the guitar. the game only lasted a month before the down strum bar refused to work.
Now this was a christmas present from my uncle who lives in Sydney, and he paid by credit card and as such he doesn't have the receipt.
February 15th 2009, i bought the Guitar Hero 3 box set.
exactly a month later, the first and fifth buttons (green and orange) refuse to work.
I have the receipt for that game, however, so it's not all bad.
Problem is, i can't get onto an actual person at Activision (as it is all automated) to replace my guitars.
now i know for a fact that the guitars are faulty, because i have a friend who bought GH3 at launch, and his guitars still work just fine.
does anyone know how i can get around this and get my damn guitars fixed?

well depends what system did you get it on????
because some of the guitar necks are detachable and so you could just buy a new guitar hero neck.

fixing the green and orange buttons should just be a matter of cleaning the points in the neck so the buttons work. also with the detachable neck sometimes the connection isnt very good, my friend got a big rubber band which he strung around the two bits where u can attach a strap, this made his orange button work again.

as for the strum bar im not sure what you'd do for that

either go and get a new one or smash the guitar like all rock guitar players do at the end of a song.

I think that they are both button contact problems. So how would i clean them?

If you have a receipt for that game why not take it back to the retailer and have them replace it. I don't think you're going to have any luck going to Activision for something like this.

ther has been a lot of problems with the 2 piece guitars with contact for the neck to the body. IF it moves any bit when connected there's the main problem. To fix mine I taped a strip of plastic onto the back of the body, running along the neck, then strapped the neck as tight as it would go into the body. It stopped it moving and the buttons are going fine now.

With the world tour one It might not be a connection issue but an actual fault insde the guitar. if there are some shops around you that will do special orders ask them to get the body part on it's own. It'd be a fair bit cheaper than the full guitar and they might take more off of it for the faulty body....

If you shit in one hand and wish in the other we all know which one will fill up faster.

And as I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will have no fear For I am the scariest mother f*cker in that goddamned valley!

Damn nature, You Scary!!!
