Default What do you play on?

So, what are you playing on? Sure, sure, there's the X360 vs PS3 debate, but this is more of a visual/audio thing. Are you playing on some new cutting edge technological marvel in home theatre entertainment, or are you playing on a 1970's Zenith 19" TV?

I ask because I used to play on a 27" TV bought in '94, up until last week, and I'm curious as to what other people are doing, or if I was one of the last few to actually move fully into the new millenia of entertainment hardware.

my PC is running on an acer 22" widescreen LCD sex-monitor with a Creative 7.1 8Speaker sound system. Had the 360 runnign through that for ages too.

My PS3 I had set up to a ferguson 28" tv. This baby had mahogony panelling on it! It was 20 years old and only a few months ago I had to change because somebody cracked the screen. Now Both my PS3 nd 360 are running through a 32" sony Bravia, 720p with full HD capabilities and Both are running with HDMI cables. Currently only the built in Speakers, when everyone else is asleep I use my Vivanco wireless Surround sound headphones ( 3 speakers in each ear piece to make the surround element, it's great) And will have a 5.1 sony sound system in a few months. PLus one comfy ass PC chair/recliner-armchair

Oh yes. I like it looking good

If you shit in one hand and wish in the other we all know which one will fill up faster.

God, those Sony Bravia's are nice. I bought a 46" one last week, and damn... I'm SO glad I did.

I have a 21" Flat panel ViewSonic monitor I got at Tiger Direct for my computer, and I paly Xbox over a 36" Flat screen (SCREEN, mind you, I'm not money-falling-from-my-pockets-wealthy enough to afford a full flat panel) TV.

You know, my folks have a 36" flat screen, and they bought a 46" Bravia after they saw mine, but the more I look at the place they put it... the 36" just "fit" better. The 36" was deeper, more to it (near 350 pounds, so moving around a lot wasn't much an option), and it just looked better than the Bravia does, aestheticly. I think buying a TV is definately something one needs to look at the entire work of the room with. I've seen flat screens that look really good where a flat panel would just look... wrong. Nothing wrong with flat screens--don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Have to agree with you there Wraith. Personally I think anything bigger than my current TV will just look wrong and take too much attention from the rest of the characterful things in my room. It makes my Entertainent set up now And If it was bigger I doubt it'd do that.....

I was not in any way trying to bash my setup. It's perfect for the size of the room. My dad's got a 72" or some ungodly thing in the den at their place and it just looks wrong. I think my 36HD is better then his 72 Analog too.

You'll forgive me, but you must be mistaken. I've met your makers, and they don't even know your name...
