Default PC players

When playing games on the PC what control system do you use? keyboard and mouse, joystick or joypad?

Personally I use mouse and keyboard only. I find the mouse much more accurate than a little stick on a controller and the large amounts of buttons on the keyboard means easy use of menus etc. instead of holding down 2 buttons and pressing another to get something....

what about you fellow heretics?

I'm a fan of mouse and keyboard as well but I don't play as many games as I used to and am a bit of an old school gamer.

Joysticks on PC games...with a few notable exceptions (They usually begin in Mech and end in Warrior), this is the anti-good. Of course, I can see how it feels easier for people who have transitioned from consoles, but having grown up with keyboard and mouse (Part of the Doom generation ) it just doesn't feel right 19 times out of 20.

I find I can transfer from console to PC very easily and have no problems with it. it's when I change game on console that I have problems... I start throwing grenades when I crouch... same happens on the PC but changing gaming machine does nothing to me....

I use keyboard and mouse, mainly because I can't be bothered to buy some other type of control when what I already have works perfectly fine. While I do like console controllers mice will always rule RTSs and many PC games have too many controls to fit on one.

None of those, I use a Gamepad and Mouse combo, a N52 and a Logitech Laser mouse to be specific, and also a Logitech G15 keyboard.

Depends on what game I'm playing. 99.5% of my games are mouse and keypad, being mostly strategy games. For FPS and first-person RPG, I like my gamepad. And for flying sims (which I do play a lot of, to laugh at and point out flaws), I use a Logitech 3D joystick.

You'll forgive me, but you must be mistaken. I've met your makers, and they don't even know your name...

Ah, i'll give you sims of any kind. I finally managed to get my 360 controller working properly on Mechwarrior Mercenaries. Took a lot of doing, but setting the two joysticks as seperate controllers seems to work. One for movement, one for torso, ALL FOR STOMPIN'
