For the love of god - don't complain about Dawn of War being bollocks to 40K, play this.

hmm, quick question, does anyone else find the bosses to be over powered. im playing on 3rd highest difficulty, i like a challange. anyways, the first boss, i thought id be smart and hide in buildings, he blew them up and the worst part, he had 6000+ HP i think, my guns did what felt like 1 damage per second, pretty much the battle was 20 mins off my devastor squad shooting at him from range while he chased my scouts around n circles, it was so borring, the fighting till then was fun. next mission, same thing, seriously, its so boring versuing a boss where you run in circles for 10 - 20 mins. third level, great another OP boss, wait what, he has a ranged attack the kills one of your 20 men in one shot. oh crap.

other then the bosses the game is great, combat between squads is fun, you pin a squad with the devastator and tactical squad then charge with your commander, so good holding buildings against wave after wave is fun as well, i cant wait for viechles

Default Finally played the Campaign!

I have been stuck playing only multiplayer for too long! (didn't want to start playing the campaign until all the guests were gone) ~i love the game. hands-down. and i've only been able to play it for 1 hour in total (thanks to work), but i think i'm already addicted to it. crap.

(i do wish that relic had added more than just a human campaign/story line though. (it would have been cool if they could have done something like Warcraft 3 where you play each race and in turn see the unfolding of some epic story line, or warcraft 2 where there are two opposing but good story lines, one for each race. --you know? any one agree?)

lol, you miss the base building? lol, to each his own.

~when i heard the game, while still being a RTS, would be more tactical (like the tabletop game) and less base oriented, i almost **** myself. lol. no, not really. but i was extremely excited cause (i don't have the $ to buy GW stuff... i baught one of the starter sets for 40k last year and have since been limited to this forum do to my lack of units and finance ).

imo, if you like base oriented RTS; try supremme commander! it's hot.

Does it have Imperial Guard? The one of the reasons I decided not to preorder it is because it wasn't likely to have 'em, rather focusing more on Marines, Orks, Eldar and Nids.

Might start regretting preordering halo wars instead...

Pre-order Halo Wars instead - it only has the races you listed - although Relic have no commented over the expansions.

No comment over something, when they've outright denied the modding of the game (short of maps/textures), due to the outsource and crediting issues, means that yes there will be.

ive started to get in the campaign now, it brilliant fun, devastator squad laying down fire on the eldar as a jump squad leaps in and rips them apart, the nids appeared, raped a space marine and were just omg, i was wave after wave of nids everywhere, so much carnage it was so good. then there is the terrain, i remembered pc powerplay raving about it so i took a closer look and reliased that its actually great, dow1 had terrain and it was the same ole same ole, dow2 is same ole but it just looks so much prettier.

ok i just raved and that and im betting people didnt really get most off that ;p but pretty much the message is go and buy it, its awesomeness ;p

I've bought it and i'm STILL downloading it from steam from like 2 hours ago and i'm only at 62%. Seriously this is the most effort i've had to put into installing a game ever. It better be bloody good and now close down on me, the forums (on the DOW II site) are actually littered with complaints and queries about bugs.

ANYWAY, it best be good or I shall cry

Personally I'm looking forward to the release of Empire:total war

Rant over
