Default Warsow

This is probably one of the best games I've played in a long time. It's an FPS built on a modified Quake 2 engine. More specifically, it's a free FPS, and one that, while still in development, is incredibly smooth and playable.
It's streamlined and focused on competetive multiplayer, and has a great feature that's pretty much unique to it, in my knowledge. There is only one shoot mode, but you also have a button set specifically for context-sensitive tricks.

If you're running, you'll do a quick dash
If you're jumping into a wall, you'll kick off
If you're going up a ramp, you'll slide up it and pick up speed.

The game is much more three-dimensional than many of it's peers, simply because you can use these tricks and the physics of the game to get insane speed up and bunnyhop, slide and launch yourself across the maps, with entertainingly over the top weapons. They're pretty standard in and of themselves, but another thing I really like is the fact you can get normal ammo, but you can also pick up high-powered, improved ammo for each weapon.

The graphics are great, too. A smooth and streamlined cyberpunk environment and expertly cel-shaded in such a way that it DOESN'T look like XIII at all (And that's a good thing!).

If you prefer to use controllers to play FPS games (HEATHENS ), you can set that up too.

Windows, OSX and Linux installers all availiable from http://www.warsow.net/?page=download

And here's a couple of screens just to pimp my new addiction off a little bit more.
