That's good to hear. I've heard that the main cause of the game-scratching phenomenon is moving the system while it's turned on. I'll have to be careful about that...my capacity to play KOTOR 3 someday hangs in the balance!

I've had mine for about three four months, and it's run like a dream. No problems at all, except for a bad copy of GRAW. (But that's the games fault, not the systems)

also without a 360, how are you gonna play bioshock, unless your PC is able to play it, but in most cases a pc is less reliable, so you don't want your gaming ruined

My computer? Play a NEW game? My trusty Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang can barely handle Minesweeper.

The main reason I'm getting a 360 is because it'll probably house the majority of the Western RPGs available to the console market. Knowing that Bioware has committed to the 360 is all but a Biblical commandment ordering me to buy one. Just knowing that there will be future KOTOR and Jade Empire installments has me salivating.

The problems aren't over-exaggerated horror stories, I've had three replacement consoles in three months and yesterday my Elite showed the Red Ring of Death (I only had it around 8 hours), so theres another replacement I will have to get

If it weren't for the fact Fable 2 is exclusive I would get shot of it, if I were you I would go with a PS3, I've had mine nearly 5 months and haven't had a single problem so far (touch wood)

Well, there aren't really any games out for the PS3 that I want as of right now. There might be eventually, but right now most of the games that cater to my tastes are dwelling in the 360 section. My favorite types of games are Western-produced RPGs and strategy titles. Those are rare enough on the 360, and completely absent from the PS3, to my knowledge.

That said, I'm really worried about the 360's reliability. There's really no excuse for the 360's seeming tendency to melt into slag at the drop of a hat. I'm probably still going to pick one up next week though.
