Default What happened to WAR!

I just logged yesterday and today after about a month of not playing due to school and work and I've noticed the population of the place went from waiting 30mins because it was over packed to almost dead, any ideas why this happened???

No idea. I've only been playing for a short time so I can't compare.

I remember wow being rammed full of players when I last went on, this was as much as a year after release. Do you think WAR is failing?

yeah, it must be wotlk.

and i gave up on wow after a month too, nothing to do with graphics, i dont really play games for graphics, once you get over the crapyness/awesomness of the graphics, it doesnt really change the game. My problem with WoW was that i couldnt get into any of the characters, the only one that i like is the death knight but you can only play him as a hero class, and no i didnt just bget into the hype for WotLK i loved warcraft 2, i played orcs and loved the death knights =D

Seven, That is all.

While WotLK definitely had an effect on the population of WAR, I think the lame PvE content had a lot to do with it as well. If any game wants to stand up to the juggernaut that is WoW, it is going to have to have well thought out PvE content.

I only leveled to 25 before quitting so I don't know too much about the end-game content in War, but players shouldn't have to wait until max level to get into some good PvE.

I know the game was marketed as mostly PvP, and I have to admit WAR's PvP was awesome (Long BG queues were pretty annoying though), but Man cannot live on PvP alone.

That said: I think I just sold my WoW account. Time for a Land Raider of my own (no more borrowing one from a friend!) and a pack of 'zerkers and plague marines! MMORPGS are too rough on my marriage. Long live table-top games!
