I have considered this, alot and just wanted the input of the gaming community and i say i would be a nice change from the fantasy setting. Cause i am seriously tired of these fantasy games i want a scifi rpg thats not completely retarted and maybe add alittle space battles in as well, ask ur self do you want these fantasy games to rule the gaming community? In the near future i hope they have one of these.

I think it would be awesome if they made a game like that. I would pay monthly for it.

It all depends on whether its totally PvP or not.

No, not a chance. I refuse to pay 50 bucks for a game that I then have to turn around and pay 20 bucks a month to play. I already bought it, I shouldn't have to pay a fee to actually use it.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

i would no problem

to wraithlord, the monthly fee is there so the company doesn't lose money from the game. they need to constantly have staff working to fix bugs, update content so people will want to keep playing the game over the biggest newest game out. they also need to run the servers and maintain them, there is the cost of electricity for running the computers and the staff that maintain them so server crashes are minimum.

same here, plus can you imagine the people you'd bump into, Jesus Christ, its bad enough on something as simple as runescape, all the freakish WOW players would come along to

Oh I understand the why's of the monthly fee Fury, I just have no desire to pay for one. Somehow, Guild Wars did very well without a monthly fee and even put out 2 sequels and an expansion pack without the monthly fee. If the fee were something in the area of 5 bucks a month or something then I might be more inclined to pay for it but they aren't. And having seen the HUGE profit margins of games like EQ and WOW, well let's just say that I don't like being gouged. I go to the gas pump for that.

Just to highlight Wraith's point:
WoW has 8 million players. if we assume that they pay AUD$20 a month, then Blizzard gets:
$160M a month
$5.33M a day (assume 30 days in a month)
$222,222 an hour
$3703 per minute
$61.73 PER SECOND.
'Gold Mine' doesn't begin to cover it.

Back on topic, I wouldn't play the game. For several reasons:
1. My experiences with Mumorpugers have been... bad. Long story.
2. I don't earn that much money, and with uni next year i stand to have even less.
3. I have enough trouble with distractions enough, thanks to my 360 (oh i love it, but i hate it, but those GODDAMN ACHIEVEMENTS).

On the subject of Rat Ogres:
But if we give them laser eyes and mounted guns, we'll have to bring in Clan Skryre, and everyone knows how much those limp-tailed snuff addicts overcharge.

Quoted for truth.

Screw that noise.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
