I agree with that too. Sure it's more expensive but it is the superior hardware as it upscales all your old dvds, Is one of the cheapest high quality blu-ray players on the market and there are only a few games that are exclusives to 360. still if price is the major factor go 360

If you shit in one hand and wish in the other we all know which one will fill up faster.

And as I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will have no fear For I am the scariest mother f*cker in that goddamned valley!

You can get em pretty cheap now, i have 2
lol, they are a must! Dont get a ps3
Your looking around 300 - 350 to start off with if your including live
Get the one with a 20 gig hard drive, they sell for around 250
Dont get the arcade edition as they have no memory space
Your best bet with a controller would be a wireless one
If you are getting live add me: Jamesin8or

Thats the best i can help you with

Just gonna say, if money isn't a problem, and you don't want a PS3, then souping up your PC, or buying a new, more powerful one is in my oppinion a far superior option.

You can't beat mouse and keyboard control, and the fact you can just keep upgrading as technology advances, combined with the fact that pretty much every Xbox 360 exclusive ends up on PC in the end anyway means I'll never buy an XBox myself.

Sorry though, this didn't answer your question at all. I have no clue when it comes to the Xbawks consoles.

If you never want to play a good game ever again, buy a PS3. BUT... if you want games the 360 is the way to go.

agreed. What it basically boils down to is:

Arcade: No Storage, cheapest @ 129.99 GBP
Pro: 60 Gb, storage, but not the most, reasonably priced @ 169.99 GBP
Elite: 120 Gb most awesome, but most expensive, @ 229.99 GBP

So if you have the money, buy the elite. If you don't, buy the Pro. If that's too expensive, you won't be able to afford the games so don't bother with the arcade.

I'd advise you to buy a PS3 too. Think long term; in a few months, the PS3's capability will be maximized. The 360 is already at its limit.

-Edit

You can hardly tell the difference between the souped up 360 and the PS3 (which hasn't met its full potential) now.

-Edit 2

And I've been told the PS3 is to have a 10-year life. The 360 is far older and will more than likely be out-dated more so than it already is.

I dont want to turn this into a console war. But in my house we have all 3 consoles and the PS3 is never used. We just cant see any good games for it nor any good ones coming out in the future. If you like JRPGs than maybe a PS3 would be better as the Xbox does not really have many RPGs. The ps3 may get better in the future, in fact its certain to but there is no point buying one now during to the poor game selection and price. If you are highly into blue-ray then get a ps3 as it is cheaper than most blue-ray players plus you can play games.
Unless you are going to download movies or put all your music on it I would get a standard xbox360 with 20gb HD. If you are going to install games on to your Xbox 360 then I would get an elite.
