Default Dow mods, do you use them? If you do, what ones?

hey guys, I was just wondering, do you use dow mods for any of the games? I personally use lights of the warp, it's pretty awesome, it allows for heaps of new guard units and such. Anyways, what do you use?

Default Yes

I finally found your thread.
And yes, I do use mods.
I use the Annihilation mod. It is good. It adds a bunch of extra things that I like, mostly the new units, and removes or heightens the limits on unit types and overall cap. The different menus are also kinda funky, with more blood and such.
I understand the Lights of the Warp mod is quite similar, by some reckoning better, than Annihilation, but LotW didn't work for some reason on my computer. However, I'm sure it is just a localised problem with how I set it up as opposed to a general problem.
One problem that I find with Annihilation is that, if your computer has less than brilliant performance, the increased caps can cause serious lag, particularly when armies start to grow very large. However, this should not put you off trying the mod, because if your computer is half-decent (unlike mine) it will happily deal with the extra strain. Just try not to have too many high-demand applications on in the background.

Yep, I use loads of DoW mods.

There's True Warhammer, which has limited requisition that works exactly as points, though weapon balance is awful.

Then there's DoW Pro, which is quite a lot like the normal game but with small changes.

Firestorm Over Kronos is probably the best that isn't radically different, without anything strange like completely different damage rates or differently done resources. The god choosing of the Chaos forces is really excellent.

The table-top round up mod is probably my favourite. Weapon damage is boosted to levels more like table-top, and units are far better scaled to buildings and vehicles. No more guardsmen as big as their bunkers! However slow CC units die before doing anything, long range units rule over everything, and blast things like orbital strikes, the skyray missiles, strafing runs etc kill EVERYTHING they hit. I've lost most of my army to them many times, and it gets frustrating. Also for DC they implimated a stupid limited research thing. Problem is to specify in some things only one or two upgrades help, and to specialise in others you need more than the possible amount.

I also like playing race mods, like the good tyranid one.
