Let's see here...
Doom and all its sequels had good music.
Far Cry 2's music is quite good.
Halo and the sequels had some perfect timing for music. like in the final level of Halo 3, when you're driving away and the entire ring is breaking up, the music works really well there.

On the subject of Rat Ogres:
But if we give them laser eyes and mounted guns, we'll have to bring in Clan Skryre, and everyone knows how much those limp-tailed snuff addicts overcharge.

and who could forget Gears of War creepy music,
best song for me though would have to be the original Everquest loading song and combat songs

*Idly whistles the chocobo theme* Final Fantasy music, in general, is where it's at. I'm a big fan of FFX, across the board-- some of my favorite FF music happens to be from there as well.

Final fantasy music is amazing
The black mages are one of my favourite bands.
Also i love in mech assault 2 when papa roach kicks in.
