haha yeah, it really is a crappy game, the only good thing it has is people, many other games have lots of people who play and if less played WoW then the other games would be better, i actually plan to make a fps shooter sorta rpg styled (warfare over 3 worlds 4 moons and an asteroid belt), many of my friends are helping too, once we all finish school =D

well if we are giving recommendations for games OTHER than WoW.....

I'd actually go with Guildwars, just buy the game and boom free to play MMORPG with 3 million players to date. only problems with it are laggers and low lvl cap, best thing about it-THe original campaign has one helluva a storyline.

I have these really geeky friends (No offense guys) who spend most their time on Runescape (which is like a cheaper version of WOW). All they talk about is that. They go "I can hit *insert number!* I went up to this right n00b, and went 22....22....22 and he fell over dead! What crossbow you got? Can we trade...etc, etc, etc." trust me, If you get fully addicted, like my friends, you will fall into that group, and your social life will go NEEEOOOWWWWWWW KABLAM!! into the ground.

Still, if you don't want it, don't buy it. Who cares what your friend says? So what if its a decent game? Its your hard earned cash, and YOU decide what happens to it.

There, that help?

im sorry my friend, but you just made a big mistake, like taking up smoking. At first you do it because others pressure you into it, and you dont mind it abit since people say is all good and theres nothing wrong with it, then the grinding comes, and you start to hate yourself for getting addicted to this peice of casual money whoreing peice of cow dung, but since its so addicting you just cant seem to let go of it.

I speak from experience of 4 years almost of this addiction. WAR is a much better game, even if it needs refinement still.

Now, you might say its fun now, but think of how WoW is designed, the lands dont seem repetitive, but everything is done in the traditional kill this, talk to this person, gather this. quests, and once in a blue moon the escort this person. quest. you need to gather 5 people together yourself to enjoy the pve side of the game atall. and pvp is all about whos got the best gear and isnt a total idiot. so you will be schooled in battlegrounds by twinks, if your on a pvp server you will be camped by level 70 rogues who cant take on level 60s while your in your 20's you will have one hell of a time gathering a group for anything, since everyones too busy speed grinding their way up to 70 for the end game, which isnt even that great anymore, it doesnt give any kind of epic feel an mmo should, anything and everything in the game you either repetitively grind for, or you are given to on a golden platter rather then having to work for it.

if you enjoy this game after you experience this stuff i have mentioned, then kudo's to you. i stoped really enjoying wow about 3 years ago, but stuck around somewhat for my friends who played, they went to war. I have too.

"until our cousins perish, all there will be, is war. May Khaine guide us to the slaughter"

Aye I've been painting a lot this week, and I thought for a moment maybe I was losing interest in WaR, but on it went last night and still awesome.

Time's just tight for me atm if I'm honest, I want to paint, play WaR and write some 40K themed stuff all at the same time, dang.

i'm having fun hurling dynamite at random little critters, i wont get a full on addiction, my parents give me a time limit which i usually double or so but thats normal for me.

WoW is just like any other game i've played, good fun. i mean i've played Pokemon Emerald for 200 hours, cod4 for 200+, Dablo 2 for 200-300, Halo for 100+. i play gmes for a long time because they are good, if i get addicted to a game my parents time limit deals with the addiction.
