Default Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I have to say that this is possibly the best game ever. i would llike to say it has the largest map i have ever seen in any game, including world of warcraft. It has next generation graphics that make the game truly beautiful. It is realistic in every aspect. The levelling system is exetremely hard so as to pose a challenge. The story lines are in depth and all run in to eachother. There are too many features for me to post but this game is extremely fun even though you play with yourself and it offers 200 hours of gameplay.

I challenge you to find a better game, or just post your ffavorite RPG

Actually, I still prefer Morrowind.

For some reason, I have a serious problem with all first-person games, no matter how good they are. I find them disorienting. Even switching to third-person in Morrowind didn't seem to help much.

Cheatin' Varmint. Double-Dealer. Stampeding Jackalope.

My wife is the same way. She gets really dizzy (dizzier than normal for a blond, anyway) just looking at the screen for a moment.

I'm really not a big fan of first-person games either. Daggerfall is the only game of this sort that I ever got into, and it just carried over from there, I suppose.

I'm looking for a new console RPG, is Elder scrolls available for the 360?

My current faves are the Knights of the Old Republic Series, they're just so awesome. It's practically impossible to beat all of the sidequests with one profile, there's always one or two just left hanging. Innovative combat system too, not just slash and hack.

I tried to play Oblivion on my current cpu but it was no deal. Soon as I upgrade though....

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Default great game.

Oblivion(and Morrowind) are only available on PC and Xbox consoles. Morrowind has a g!d d!mn amazing storyline and map layout. I spent hours just taking boat rides and silt strider rides around the world to see a true fantasy world come alive. Oblivion's storyline isn't quite as amazing, but it's still good stuff, and the graphics are omgftwr0x0rz.. Standing on top of a mountain and viewing the entire land is just amazing, and weather/atmospheric effects are outstanding. They added more wildlife implements, but that's still a lil lacking.
Oblivion is the best non-paper/pencil RPG I've ever played. It's f'n fantastic, first person being a little awkward but tolerable and the more you play the more you feel like you are inside the game at that viewpoint.
I have a level 27 Imperial(human) Knight, a level 39 Altmer(high elf) Mage, and a level 17 Dunmer(dark elf) Assassin. Beat the main storyline with the Imperial, every evil mission and plotline with the Assassin, and every single one-shot and neutral to good quest with the Mage. Almost 200 hours of gameplay between the three characters. I also was given a ton of points for Christmas by the GF so I bought all the expansions and mods, which add a ton of extra gameplay and items. This and Gears of War were the whole reason I bought a 360. Just waiting on Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect now. Mass Effect is supposed to be Oblivion and Knights of the Old Republic jammed together and twice as good. Let's hope.

Amazing game..
