Default Advice on building a PC

So I've done this before, kinda, but this time I felt like I had to do most of it myself
But basically I want my own computer, to do my own work and and play my own games with my own friends...unfortunatly means my own money :/, which means the lower the cost, the better, ideally even under 200 but that seems a distant dream
So I've researched the minimum and recommended specs for the 2 games I play which I expect are the most rigorous... I doubt rimworld has anything on these :D (PAYDAY 2 and Total War: Shogun 2)
I then looked through eclipse computers and build a machine that should fill the requirments for recommended ideally...
It's all in one block thingy as I just wrote this down in notes as I went along and have no intention of spending another hour copying it out again, so it's copy/pasted, hopefully it all makes sense.

the computer in total I belive came to about 350 total, with all the parts I have there, I'm pretty sure I got down all that was on the list, so if there's anything missing, extra, or wrong, let me know, I'm pants at the techno jargon that's what's siblings are for

Shogun 2 minimum
2GHz dual core Intel processor
2GB ram
Windows 7
256MB directx 9 graphics card

Recommended
2nd generation Intel i5 processor
4GB ram
Windows 7
Direct X11 graphics card

PAYDAY 2 minimum
2GHz dual core processor
2GB ram
Nvidea Gforce 8800 video card

Recommended
2.3GHz quad core
3GB ram
Windows 7
Nvidia GeForce GTX460 video card

My build- eclipse computers Eco gamer series
Motherboard- Asus H81-M plus LGA1150, DDR3, 7.1Snd, GBLan, mATX
Processor- Intel pentium G3258 LGA1150 processor- 42.75
Memory- 4Gb (2x2GB Dual channel DDR3 1600MHz memory kit- 26.95
Graphics card- 2Gb nVidia GeForce GT 730 PCI-e VGA card- 37.50
Network- onboard
Optical drive- Samsung SH-224BB 24x DVD +/-R SATA DVD writer- 12.19
Blue ray- none
SATA device- 1TB seagate barracuda 7200rpm SATA 3 64MB hard drive- 30.55
Card reader- none
Case- BitFenix Comrade black ATX case, no PSU- 23.65
Power supply units- Alpine 600W PFC PSU w/ 120mm red fan- 12.95
Monitor- 18.5inch widescreen LED monitor- 50.95
Speakers- 2 channel speakers with subwoofer and satellite speakers- 4.03 (3p?!?!) (probs won't use these, but for 4 right?)
Keyboard/mouse- multimedia keyboard and optical mouse set, black- 5.87
Blue tooth- none
Operating system- Microsoft windows 8.1, 64bit, DVD, OEM- 50.95
Application software- None
Internet security- none (too risky, if it's needed, I'll buy it, best deals, companies and packages?)

So any advice for a noobie? Any hate?
Thank you for your time to read all that jumbo
Also a laptop will be more practical, but I presume out of my price range?

Bare in mind that "minimum" specs usually means that you'll be watching a slide show rather than playing a game.

If you really want a PC, don't rush into it. Save up and buy something down the line that will last you a while. You want to build something that will at least last 5 years, and don't limit yourself to just building it yourself, unless you really are adamant and know the best way to save money. Other wise there are places to build a PC and have it shipped to you, and don't keep from looking for deals from places like Ebay.

My brother scored a 1500 USD computer (iBuyPower Brand) for only 600 USD off of EBay, Brand new literally. It should last us a long while.

I wasn't planning on a home build im not confident enough in my own abilities to stake my life savings on it lol.
But good point on eBay, I'll patrol that a bit just to see

I cannot reinforce this enough. When it comes to PC's you don't want to buy the bare minimum, as it is most likely already outdated by the time you get the PC in the door. While the 2 games mentioned are your favorites currently, the PC you have specced above is already below average for many new games out there, and you will be shutting yourself out of new experiences.

Considering that this is a big investment for you, I would rather save up more and get a decent standard computer for your money that will last you longer. I know it's itching in your fingers to get your own, but if you rush this you risk using a lot of money on something you will regret the second you pop in another game than the ones you're playing right now. I rarely see anything below the 600 mark that can be considered a gaming computer, as they are more suited for office work. That's just my standard however.

Just my advice though - Use your gut feeling. Just be careful with your money. Don't use them on a inferior product out of a need to have your own in a hurry.
