Default Soulstorm tactics

I have a couple of tips:
leave necrons for last;
Reinforce the captured strongholds;
reinforce any jump gates
if any race is attacking you, push them back a bit, this will stop them;
build lots of sentries, they find invisible units.

Circa 800 Points tau, soon to be with heavy support

Sm from AOBR, soon to be reinforced by some sniper scouts and a predator.
92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are part of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.

If you ever play Dark Eldar, then FILL YOUR BASE WITH MANDRAKES!!!!

I could go faster if I had a hoverboard.

For Sisters of Battle, don't bother attaching a preacher to a squad of Sisters during defense missions-- let the preacher(s) run around and capture points, and let your garrison of Sisters (and an Immolator or two with multi-meltas, if you've bothered buying them for your garrison) go handle the opponent quickly. The points that the priests go capture while the army marches to the other base usually cover the cost of buffing the squads to full strength and go a long way towards paying for the upgrade to an Ecclesiarchy Citadel so you can have Veteran Superiors in the squads.

If you're ever short on requisition and you've conquered a planet or two, you can recall the garrisons-- the computer is going to attack your frontier provinces, not your core ones, so if they can't get to your interior provinces, then you don't need to waste requisition keeping a big garrison in each. A big, beefy garrison on the borders where you'll get attacked lets you respond to an invasion quickly and decisively.

Honour Guard units may be expensive, requisition-wise, but buy 'em when you can, because the computer does rush you sometimes when you invade a territory, particularly if the enemy commander is there too, and you can't ever really build units to fight off the rush fast enough.
