Default You know you've been playing games too long when...

When you know every name of the deck of 52 in Mercenaries.

Your conversation rarely stray away from Halo or Final Fantasy.

You order the soundtrack to your favourite game.

You get the soundtrack to all your games.

Your game collection is 50+ games.

Your game collection is 100+ games.

You've completed all of your games, on every difficulty, unlocked every costume, easter egg, every weapon, etc.

The list just goes on and on and on.

I disagree about the game collection. Trade-ins are the only way I fuel my addiction.

Surprised people are criticizing my list rather than adding their own ideas

Haha, sorry, yeah. Pre-school blues and whatnot are making me a cynical moody bastard. I'll be more positive.

You know you've been playing games too long when...

You start thinking in "portals"

I have seriously thought, when I had 2 hours sleep, on the wrong side of London after the Horse of the Year show 'lets use the Hearthstone'.

You know you've been playing games to long when....
Someone insults you and you wonder why ignoring them dosn't shut them up.
You get kicked out of Next for asking the staff to put armour kits on your jeans.
When stuck in traffic you look around for your gravity gun.
You don't want a girlfriend because you're convinced she'll be kidnaped by a giant spiky turtle.
You wander around town yelling "LFG for trip to the pub, level 18 plus, plx!".
On that note, you say "plx" or "plz" instead of "please".

"Oh, no tears please. It's a waste of good suffering"

You've been playing games too long:
When a girl rejects you and you assume that 10 hours of grinding will make you meet the "level requirement"

When you go to a gun store and wonder where the guns with chainsaws are and when you go to the home depot you wonder where the chainsaws with guns are.

When you think through physical endeavours in terms of constitution, fortitude and strength saves.

When you get lost and wonder where the !@#$ did the mini map go.

When you start digging in your city's sewers trying to find a superweapon.

On a more serious note:

When you realise you've already played all the new games coming out, and you actually dont give a fuck if its got better graphics, because they're selling you the same game, and the only new game that looks marginally original (spore) just looks shit and boring.

RIP Portal, probably the last great game.

When you realise the current best games all have numbers after the name: COD 4, Half Life 2, Resi 4 etc, you realise the business isn't in the business of making new games. Just rereleasing old ones.

I'd like to end this post by reiterating i love computer games, but also comment that I end up reinstalling old ones, rather than buying new ones, more often than not.
