I still play, but I haven't picked up my Blue Version for ages. I'm currently on the latest one, Diamond/Pearl for the DS. There are now 493 to catch. Yay.

Got Chansey, cccp_one? Or are you still stuck in the Safari zone, spinning on the spot?

Yeah, the first 100 new ones they realised in G/S where bloody awful. The were pointless rips of the oringinals (basically the Nintendo version of an Army getting re-released with crap models and Nerfed rules).

They didn't do that in Ruby and Sapphire, though, and in Diamond/Pearl they've gone someway to undo the evil of G/S, giving all the pointless rips (i.e Aipom, Sneasel etc.) new evolutions that do stuff.

If you think Blue/Red are the best games, they released a remake for the GBA a while a go of said games called LeafGreen and FireRed. Basically the same as the old ones, but with far better graphics and a crapload of new (but rubbishly named) features.
