Sorry, couldn't resist.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

I've got Diamond, beat the Elite Four and all that jazz, highest level currently 80. Working on my end-game WiFi team currently.

Needless to say, I'm on WiFi, have a lot of rares/can breed them and am usually looking for a good clean duel.

I played both Pokemon Blue and Gold extensively. I lost interest after that, though. Part of what made Blue and Gold so accessible, to me, was the fact that there was a speedy-uppy option on Pokemon Stadium for the N64 that made grinding your adorable minions to level 100 a breeze. Since every Pokemon game since then has played without having that option available, though, level grinding has been a serious drag.

If I remember correctly, Colosseum had a similar feature for Ruby, Sapphire, and probably Leaf Green and Fire Red, given that it's the same Generation.

Whoa! I might need to pick up some newer Pokemon games in the speedy-uppy thing is still in effect.

I'd drop either Nidoking, Blastoise, or Beedrill.

Nidoking may be incredibly powerful, but in practice he's weak to four types, not to mention some of the most common (Water, Ice, Ground, and Psychic). He falls fairly quick if you're not careful.

Blastoise is the same way. Powerful, but gets completely wrecked because of its single typing. Its Special Defense isn't high enough to be able to withstand a single Thunder attack.

Beedrill I personally love, but if he's not built in a specific way, he just gets stomped on. He doesn't have a lot of lasting power, but if you teach him Swords Dance and Agility, then one powerful move, you've got a power drill.
