Default God Of War Series

I've played the first one years ago and with the exception of that spinning blade puzzle of death I really enjoyed it. Considering working through the series starting with 2. Just wondering if it's worth it or not?

I've heard good things about all of the games in the series, though haven't played them much myself.

The grand scheme around the story has always been cool to me, in that it is basically why the greek gods are no longer around. Having said that, while I understand Kratos actions and motivation throughout the series, I cannot say the same for anyone else.

Damnation is paved on good intentions; subtle and sugar coated or blunt and honest
A hero is someone who steps up when everyone else backs down.
Popularity is what people strive for when they lack the strength to be themselves.

Seriously, is it really that hard to write reviews without spoilers?

I've played the 1st, 3rd, and a little of Ascension, they're all great, just be prepared to listen to all of Kratos' dialogue, which is 90% vengeance related . At least in the 3rd one.
