40k mmorpg?
Even SWTOR failed (Bioware, money, popular universe) - and here we have bunch of nonames and 2 years until release...

What? Boo is outraged! See his fury! It's small, so look close. Trust me, it's there.

So they are coorporating with a developer who are behind such smash hits such as:

- Naughty Bear
- Temple Run: Brave
- Swing the Panda
- Mafia War: London
- Halo: Waypoint

Surely these guys are the right people to go to, to develop a MMORPG with a huge backlore.

*Sigh*

Yea im abit worried about that But it says that they are the biggest independent studio on Canada with more than 370 workers, so if they put all those guys on it. They might do some good work, also they seem to be good with the fans. They are going to do a Reddit AMA soon i believe, but i we can't be too sure untill we see a gameplay trailer.

they have quite a few ex-Funcom, ex-CCP and ex-Blizzard devs with them.

about the game itself, it seems to be a crossover between Planetside and EVE in a WAR40K setting.

quite a bunch of info here

From the Eternal Crusade website.

"Space Marine Chapters participating in the crusade include the proud Ultramarines, noble Blood Angels, ferocious Space Wolves and mysterious Dark Angels."

Then while looking at preorders for the game, I was checking out some of the art for the game and came across this pic... Hmmm, they sure look like BT's!!!

They do, because they are. But those are from the cancelled game Dark Millenium, not Eternal Crusade.

If this game works I'll be incredibly surprised. Based on what I've read I just have so little interest in this game it makes me just so incredibly sad.

I was at least interested in Dark Millennium, but this just reads to be soooooo lame.

I hope they look into WH40k:Space Marine MP for weapon and balance inspiration. Space Marine is some of the most frantic and challenging MP I've ever played. God damn one-shot melta gun!

Still praying for a SM2.

i love this part of hte interview

`G: I see, you expect many free players to be undisciplined like Orks.
M: Exactly! You expect them to be less disciplined. You expect them to be rude. You expect them to defy orders. You expect them to ignore objectives, and to insult you all the time, exactly like Orks would do. We’re taking something that is seen as bad, and we’re transforming it into something true to the IP.`
