However, now that's it's up, and after a few recent news occurences, like the Woolwich murder, the Boston Bombings, etc, MS might see themselves as the new "Internation World Police" for good taste, white knighting around and stopping games from going on sale on XBox1. While this might be a good thing for PC/Consoles, the flipside is that it's a loss of revenue which investors and kickstarters might not look favourably on.
well yes, but ps3 isn't region locked and half my 360 games are from outside of the UK and according to sony the ps4 won't be region locked,
the argument seems to be it isn't their choice but I have never come across anything substantiating that, despite nintendo having previously made similar claims.

I still suspect the xbox will end up being very good,
the only conclusion I can draw from microsoft is that they are so worried by the fact they will only have a few xbox1's available worldwide for several months that they are trying to put everyone off buying them temporarily by making them seem completely useless.

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

For me this is a whole heap of bollocks.

I had the original xbox and PS and PS2, loved each of them. When the 360 and the PS3 came out, I went with the 360 because it was way cheaper, I loved halo, and I liked the controller. I'd been using the PS/PS2 controller since testing PS games in Sony and think it's good, but like a C+ could do better.

What smarts for me is the gaming aspect, someone bringing a game round for the night for a bit of multi-player. Gone. Needs to connect each day? get fucked, my net goes down at random, sometimes for a weekend/week, and then I can't game? Blu-ray? Didn't bother with PS3 as I have a heap of dvds and don't care if it's a bit clearer. Multimedia? I have my phone or pc. Watch TV through it? I have a TV, don't need an Xbox One for that. Watch films and they'll judge if you have too many people watching? well I wouldn't be watching films so that doesn't matter. Connect always on? Like big brother watching? I don't do anything even I find interesting most of the time and it'll always be watching? Hah! Kinect? I want to sit on my arse and game not leap around so doesn't make a difference for me...

Nah, consoles should be about games. Get your mates round and crack on. It'll become like facebook. Rather than just seeing how distant friends and relatives are it'll try and do everything and lose it's way. Get charged for borrowing a game? Really?

Xbox One can ram it. If the new PS is similar that can bugger off too, still got plenty of stuff to finish on the 360
