And I'm interested in the game, just not the video. Nothing in that cinematic says "elder scrolls", it looks like generic fantasy.
TESO: 2E 583. Disappearance of the Dwemer: C. 1E 700.

So unfortunately, no actual Dwemer. We may see Yagrum Bagarn in Vvardenfell, and we're definitely going to see Dwemer ruins, but we're not going to see them as a full race. However, as this is ~2800 years after the Dwemer pop off, I'm interested whether we'll see the Falmer/Betrayed in the game and if so, how they differ to in Skyrim.

This game is lined up to be really good, but we've got to hope it doesn't get over-hyped and fail to live up to expectations.

He seems to be following these threads around bashing the game where he gets the chance, with little to no knowledge on its contents, whatsoever.
What if I told you I may or may not be playing the game right now? Who the hell told you that I am "bashing without knowledge", in fact, I've played the alpha stage of 6 MMORPGs up until 2012, so why not this?

How about you just GTFO with your assumptions.

Anyway, it's all about art style. TESO looks like every other MMO, bright, colourful, hand-drawn/ stylized textures - while The Elder Scrolls have always been leaning more towards grit and realism, and certainly not cartoony.

I bet I could find a screenshot of Rift and of TESO without the HUD, put them next to eachother, and you wouldn't be able to tell which is which.

Yeah, you have no knowledge then. I remember watching a video from the creators saying that they could not do what they planned on doing with the game if they tried to make the graphics as realistic looking as Skyrim. It wouldn't work out. The graphics may be cartoony, but thats the way it has to be for the game to work. Imagine trying to fit hundreds of players on the screen, like how they managed to make it with ESO, and having the graphics of Skyrim. Massive lag fests and computer crashings everywhere. And who cares if it looks cartoony? Seriously? If the game is fun, who cares about the graphics? I certainly don't. Hell I even like the graphics. They look a league better than WoW. And WoW is the leading MMO at the moment. Those people obviously don't care about the cartoony graphics. I certainly didn't when I played it.

You sound like the type who would refuse to play a damn good game because the graphics suck. I hate people like that. The graphics don't make the game. Never has, never will.

My youtube channel. Feel free to stop by and have a look if you're interested. I do Airsoft, some warhammer related videos, and gaming videos.

R.I.P. Uncle Lee. You will be greatly missed by us all. We will see each other again some day.

Graphics don't matter, but art style does. You're an idiot if you think a game needs more horsepower to run textures with a believable colour palette. Instead we get bright ice blues, dark rich purples, shocking green foliage etc. It looks ass.

And your statement about graphics is irrelevant, if Funcom could do it with both Age of Conan and The Secret World, games that both are of a greater graphic fidelity than even Skyrim, then this new Bethesda studio must be pretty untalented to fail to do it in 2013-15.

I play plenty of games with sucky graphics, it's easily the least important thing in gaming, but ART STYLE is something you need to respect and carry over between all games in a series, or it will never feel right and if you think you won't notice it or care when you're actually sitting in front of the game you're simply self deluding yourself to preserve your precious hype.

What if Borderlands 3 comes out looking like Gears of War? Would you play it? Of course not, that's preposterous!
