Default Favorite Genre?

So what Heresy Onlines Favorite Game Genre?

RTS?
FPS?
MMPORG?
Sports?
Squad Based?

Personally I'm a FPS and RTS fan. Can't stand Squad Based or 3rd person (except for MGS which I love.)

Do not disallusion yourself brothers, today we die, our bodies broken and our souls shattered, we will be remembered as corpses on a battlefield.Raise hell my brothers for one day our great Father will hear of our struggle, and he will be honoured to call us his Sons. For me i'm a fantasy RPG sort of guy. My fave games is Oblivion but I've clocked it.... except for the wizzies guild cause I stole from them. Being the master thief I am, of course!

GW is the eternal circle.
It creates and destroys.
Inspires and demorilises.
Gives Birth and Murders.
That is Games Workshop.

Currently working on Guardians Of Pella Space Marine chapter

I like proper strategy games. I found an amazing demo, for a world war 2 game, where you took turns, could choose how many points a battle was, and then give orders from a drop down menu. It rocked! Also, I like real time strategy games that give you a number of forces (not from buildings or anything) and you can man emplacements, and you could call airstrikes, like in sudden strike. God I miss those games.

i love first person shooters and third person shooters

i am still waiting for the perfect war game

hoping for thousands of men on each side and you have to win by killing them all and each battle would be different even if you played the same map 100 times

but so far it is only a dream...

You should try Sudden Strike 2's multiplayer. every time you capture a spawn point, you get about 100 men and about 10 decent tanks. Or are you thinking of a different kind of wargame?

FPS
Gears of War is the exception for having an awesome story and control layout.
Some RTS but I tend to get bored with them rather quickly.
What would the Civilization series fall under?

Gotta be RPGs. Mass Effect, KotOR, Jade Empire, Oblivion, Fable, Fallout... these are the things I live for. Well, maybe "live for" is a touch extreme. But of all the games I play, these are the ones that I far and away enjoy the most. You can take your Halo, Gears of War, GTA, and all the rest, and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.

Not The Darkness, though. Or Hitman. God, I love Hitman. Blood Money - could there have been a more perfect ending? Or the one from Contracts? It was like reliving the end of [SPOILERS, if you've seen/played one or the other but not both] "Léon the Professional" [/SPOILERS], except that 47 was actually enough of a badass to pull it off. Awesome.

Four Colditz salads and a Hermann Goering.
