Just found this while farming the Warrior. Shredifier - Borderlands Wiki - Walkthroughs, Weapons, Classes, Character builds, Enemies, DLC and more!

It is pretty neat even though I am not a fan of the Assault Rifles in this game.

Seems pretty brutal. I don't often use Assault Rifles either, but that generally tends to be due to not finding any decent ones over any play style preference. Then again, I play Siren mainly, so a non-elemental Assault Rifle is pretty much a no-go. Though if I found one I could always transfer it over to my Commando, even if I'd have to wait ages to hit the level requirement.

I am the same way. The assault rifles are just not as good as the SMG or even pistols.

And if I had any other complaint about BL2 it is how much harder it is to trade weapons and swap gear between characters. In BL1 you could open up four instances of the same game in windowed mode and level up characters and trade stuff out.

Hm, I don't think it's too bad. I mean, Claptrap's stash means you don't even have to use multiple characters at the same time, though only 4 at a time max. What I find to be annoying is storage space for spare class mods and relics. I mean I find plenty of decent ones, but don't really want to be lugging them all around with me. However, the bank size is tiny, but upgrading with eridium isn't as high a priority as backpack or ammo size.

I do think some assault rifles are decent though. The explosive Torgue ones can pack some decent damage, and the clip size on Bandits and Vladofs are dead awesome for Gunzerkers or Commandos. But as I play Siren, of course I'll favour pistols, SMGs, Sniper Rifles.

Yeah the back pack size and bank size are not enough. I wish they would have just made it unlimited or made it so the price just kept going up. Hell even a DLC with a bank and pack upgrade would be a welcome sight.

Yeh, or at least have specific places where you can store weapons, class mods, relics etc separately.

Did a three hour stint today where I smashed through about a quarter of the TVHM campaign. Just need to clear Hero's Pass and the Vault of the Warrior now, despite the fact I'm only level 47.

Quick question: at what stage do all the sidequests rescale to your level? I've left a lot of the side quests to complete later so I can get the Lv50 rewards like Law and Order. Is it after you kill Handsome Jack and the Warrior?

Oh and btw, cheers for the SHiFT codes - have some rep.

This is how it was explained to me.

The scaling of enemies goes as follows (I looked this up time ago):

In playthrough 1, outside of the DLC, there's no such thing as scaling. Enemy levels are determined solely by the area they're in and your mission (certain missions effectively "level up" areas, notably Sanctuary and The Dust). You can easily check the level of an area by checking out the vending machines in the area, they sell items scaled to the level.
DLC in playthrough 1 scales to your level...ish. It maxes out at level 30. I played the DLC as a level 34 character and was disappointed to see everything was at level 30 in playthrough 1. Not sure if it has a minimum level it scales to.

PT 2 (TVHM) works the same way until you beat the Warrior; then everything in that playthrough scales to your level (except mission rewards for missions picked up before the final boss).

PT 3 (UVHM) works the same was as Playthrough 2 after the final boss: Everything scales to your level, period. In team play, it will always be scaled to the highest level player's level. And you have to be at least level 50 to unlock it, so enemies are effectively level 50-61 at all times. Though if you take a mission before leveling up, the mission will still stay at that lower level, as always.

Basically the game works like a standard RPG without level scaling until you A) beat the game twice (because you should be maxed out anyway) or B) enter a DLC (because you can do that at any time so a preset level would be a really bad idea)
Hope that helps .

And you are welcome for the shift codes and thank you. I need to update them as others have been added. There is also a neat little app for Iphone and android that dld's the shift codes for you and lets you know they are available.

EDIT: I just found the source of my friends info. Here and Here are some good info articles.

Yeh was reading up on the mission scalings. Which absolutely blows for me as I've accepted a whole bunch of sidequests, thinking they'd scale up once I defeated the Warrior. Thankfully there's a fair few I haven't accepted, so I can return to them. I suppose there's always UVHM...

Legendaries aren't an issue of course as they're random loot drops, and I can always trade for mission-specific ones like the Rubi etc.

How many characters have you ran through on their first playthroughs? And Eridium, Blue and Purple rarity drops are non stop in the latest DLC Legendary are more than in the main campaign but still scarce.

EDIT:

Found this last night.

That coupled with the Shredifier

Makes for a very nice dispatcher of enemies. Chews right through everything I have come up against.

The Bee is damn awesome, especially before they patched its combo with the Conference Call. You could nuke Invincibles with that no sweat. IIRC it drops off Hunter Hellquist in the Arid Nexus - Boneyard.

Yeh, I'm still on my first character (as I got the game fairly recently), and don't own any of the DLCs - though I am considering getting a season pass. So atm I'm about level 47, and have nearly completed TVHM, though I skipped almost all of the sidequests for reasons mentioned before. Play Cataclysm Siren (working in a bit of Motion as well). I have started a Commando too, but that's only like level 18 or so.
