Well, Despite my wanting to play Mass Effect in series order, i found it impossible to simply stop playing ME3. And tonight... I completed it.

It is quite simply the Best Game i have ever played. Coming out ahead of even The Illusion Of Time, which is a decades old game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)

The story evoked in me nothing short of intense emotion at each and every twist. The variance of species is staggering and I found myself becoming quite attached to all of the main characters, with particular note to Liara and Miranda, and an extreme dislike for Kai Lin (Whom got a Widow V round to the head as the kill shot)

The AI of the enemies is excellent, they vary no end and attempt counter movements and attacks with each change of position you make. I also found they vary strategy by what weapon you are currently using, going to range when faced with Assault Rifles and Shotguns or closing in when faced with Long Range and Sniper Rifles.

Enviroments are beautifully created and rendered and vary greatly, forcing you to make tactical choices based on the likely terrain you will be entering. I used a great variety of the Weapons, which is very unusual for any game as you are normally stuck with one or two that stand out above the rest, but i tried them all out atleast once.

The ending is suitably apocalyptic and i found myself in a frantic headlong rush through the streets of London to gain access to the Beam that takes you to the Citadel/Catalyst. I was also quite impressed by the ending to which you put one of the Reapers via the Giant Thresher Maw Queen. Truly a Titanic Battle.

I came to a Critical Mission Failure (Death) 4 times in the entire game, on Normal Difficulty, due to unforeseen suprises rather than Tactical Errors. And acquired some impressive Scars for it. Which strangely seem to glow Orange, a product of Shepard's Synthetic Augmentations i assume.

In the End i acquired almost 2500 points of War assets (I could have gotten more but i was unaware that the final attack on the Cerberus Base would initiate the Final Battle and End Game). When it came to it i chose to Destroy the Reapers rather than Control them. And, after an impressive ending sequence, sat in mute awe of what i had accomplished and what the Developers had created.

Suffice it to say i cannot think of a better Game, and i have played Hundreds, if not Thousands of them, in my Twenty Seven years of life. I can quite literally find NOTHING wrong with the game.
If you were on the fence about whether or not to try this game then i say Go, Go buy it, You will not be disappointed. Not by a long shot.

I have started a new Game and intend to play it all through again but on the RPG setting to find anything that i missed by playing it on the Action setting the first time around.

And now, if you will excuse me, i am off to find an Emergency Venting Port to finish my 4 hour old cold Coffee.

Seriously? Please tell me you at least had the Extended Cut installed before you hit the end as I cannot otherwise understand how you can say any of the above quote. The original ending was one of the single most soul destroying moments I have ever witnessed in a game and made me want to throw out all three games and go to bed for a week. It single handedly erased ALL interest I had in the games the moment I watched it. And I am one of those addicts that has played the entire series 10+ times. Even with the EC, that ending was still shit.

Currently I am playing Diablo 3, Blacklight Retribution (awesome free to play fps), and Battlefield 3 (still number one for me).

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Yes, seriously. I have the EC version.

I don't understand why you thought it was so bad but then again not everyone can all be pleased with everything all the time.

Care to elaborate on why you though it was bad?

I have to agree with Wraithlord on this one Alice.

The entire series of games, more than 300+ hours of my life, and I was treated to an ending of dismally "artsy" intentions that seemed to have absolutely no connection to the previous aforementioned 300+ hours of play.

Anticlimactic, would be an understatement, and absolutley no comfort can be found from the prettiness the ending was performed with, nor the slickness that it showed in its production.

I wouldn't have minded half as much if I could have drawn some parallels with the events of the previous games, but, sadly, I could find almost no reason for why the only people that survived for me, where indeed the only people that survived.

I still love the games, and I will no doubt play them again and again, but the ending will always leave me wondering "Why?".

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

picked up Shogun 2 from the steam sale last week, ive been hooked on it since. the graphics are a bit annoying though, the system reads your computer's specs and won't let you improve graphics based on your graphics card. i'm not computer person either so i can't find loopholes =/
besides that, shogun 2 has an amazing and fastpaced campaign

I've bought so many games on the steam sale and i've probably not even played half of them yet haha.

The only one i've played a considerable amount is Super Street fighter IV: Arcade Edition. The only other games I played for more than an hour are Anno 2070 and Borderlands.

I always play League of Legends at least a few times a week so it will always be in my "Games I've been recently playing list".

On the console front my most recent games are the first Infamous and Killzone 2 for my PS3 and I have Enslaved: Odyssey to the west and Magna Carta 2 for the Xbox360.

These games have been in the back burner since the steam sale begun unfortunately, so I should really go back to playing them.

From iron, cometh strength. From strength, cometh will. From will, cometh faith. From faith, cometh honour. From honour, cometh iron. This is the Unbreakable Litany, and may it forever be so.
