Steam sucks arse, and I for one wont buy anything that I have to log-into-the-net to play and or download a stupidly large gigabytes of patch for.

THQ, I would imagine like other publishing houses are suffering from an over-saturated market which I suspect is a causal effect of over-the-top retail prices and the economic disparity that Europe in general is suffering from.

I still dont get some of the problems people have with Steam. Buy your game, install it, go into offline mode and never again give a fuck about it.

[Flerden] 9:05 pm: Why the hell can't he just go offline if he goes to watc tv?

I was playing space marine 2 days ago while my internet was down. Most games work in offline mode, and if they don't it's down to the publisher rather than steam.

I'm sure THQ will be fine, they still have some decent properties. If they are going to continue with GW properties i think they should stick to what works and just make sure it's playtested to buggery. DOW is fantastic, and a proper sequel would be nice.

I'd like to see them stick all their ideas from DOW2 and space marine into an rpg.

Dark Millennium has been cut and is in the process of being made into a single player game.

It's sad that Dark Millenium is now a single player, but if they have turned it into something along the lines of Fallout/Elder scrolls, then I definitely won't be disappointed.

plus they have costly licences like WWE which doesnt have the draw it used to because of stuff like UFC and lack of charismatic over the top characters that it used to have.

plus DOW2 sucks ass.
THQ actually has some good, solid games under it's belt, just nothing that releases to CoD, Mass Effect, or other AAA title buzz.

Saints Row III got released to good reviews and good sales.
Darksiders was a great rated game that sold well enough that the company backed a sequel before the game finished its first week.
UFC games scored respectable ratings and sales.
WWE games are high selling titles every year.
Dirt (their Rally games) are also highly rated and sell decently.

THQs issue was they tried to grow to quickly in the past year with releasing less then good titles like Red Faction, Homefront, and their failed uDraw tablet.

They can get back on their feet with one or 2 solid releases but we'll see what happens.
