No idea how fast technology progresses in that era, but bought it roughly the same time last year.

Next time it will be overpriced Alienware stuff. -_-

Edit: Crysis runs like a dream! :D

crysis 1 or 2?

if 2, you might be able to get away with battlefield 3. The only difference between the two requirments is that crysis 2 needs a duo core 2 ghz and battlefield needs a 2.4 ghz.

found a demo for battlefield 3:

https://onlinepass.battlefield.com/index.php

good luck.

as to next, alienware is good from what i have heard, but research is your best bet. know what the components do before you buy. grab the processor, RAM, gpu of what you plan to buy and post them here.... i am sure someone will let you know if it suits your needs.

They are usually subpar. You can get good ones but they arent always easy to find.

A good gaming laptop becomes obsolete within two days of purchase. Ones that can actually play today's games are insanely overpriced and borderline not worth it.

I do agree on that. Problem is that I have nowhere to put a superior and cheaper tabletop computer, so it has to be a laptop.

You could always build a mini-atx computer in a form factor case.

Where do you paint? You must have a desk? Everyone should have a desk.

If you are low on space, throw out your bed and sleep at your shiny new desk.
