Default Civilisation V Gods and Kings

Less than a week until release and I have to say this is the first game I have properly looked forward to since Halo 3 (I was naive at one point, but was still well worth my enthusiasm)!

I guess first thing I should ask is; Any Civ 5 Fans out there?

Personally love the game myself. At first I was annoyed at the lack of "stacking" units but grew accustomed to it with time and now love the fact you dont have to contend with stacks of doom! Have clocked well over 100 hours on the game itself.

With the expansion coming and the new content I am well psyched about it! Make your own religions and espionage! Finally the citizens of Igniotopia can worship the divine "Creater" Igni in their Ignialopolis's! The Ignialite's will hopefully believe in their diety well into the modern era's!

Plus the addition of more nations has me very excited. I really enjoyed the DLC nations they added.

Anyway, anyone else excited or am I just that sad?

Even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I'm there waiting... and your not coming out alive!

I would love to get it but I have to save my pennies for 6th ed. I will def get it when the price drops on steam though, I would love the changes it brings, Aww If I could take the german abilities and make the mormons...

The IG are proof that good things come to us who wait. I've been Guard since 3rd ed. I been in the store and remember getting 5 boxes of men (when they came in 20 man boxes) 3 Commissars and praying that I might survive til turn 4. I've stuck it out, and you know what I have to say? WHO'S DYING NOW HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

While I'm a big Civ nut I haven't been able to pick it up since I would miss sales or needed to save money etc. That will change during the Summer sale that is soon though. Gods & Kings looks promising, I'll probably try out the Celts since their abilities look great.

I picked it up. The religion aspect is pretty good, though potentially a little over the top, as you can just buy great people with faith once you fully unlock 2nd tier culture paths.

The espionage system... is just bad. Tech theft is more or less unstoppable except by blind guessing (and luck). You can slow it down somewhat, but outright stopping it is difficult at best.

The changes to city-states are pretty meaningless. The 'quest' system isn't terrible, but at the end of the day you can still just buy city-state loyalty outright. And with religion, you've got more money (and more happiness).

Some of the new civs are also... questionable. Sweden particularly stands out as a wtf? civ power. Bonus influence if you give great people away? Well, I guess it is something to do with great artists since they can't culture bomb anymore.

Huge fan of Civ 4 and V. Though I will not be getting the expansion anytime soon.

Partaking in 3 Stories of X gamers this summer and still need to get the rulebook. So I'm short on money and time.

Please have a look at my space marines.

Lord Bane says: "Keep your water bill low, drink more beer!"

My girlfriend said she didn't like Daft Punk. She's single now. Hahahahahaha lol, just kidding. She's dead...
