I saw this a couple times when one of my annoying classmates showed it to me.

Looks like it could be potentially good... But then again, its an zombie survivalist game with somewhat uninteresting characters.

I'll wait till reviews be in the meantime I'll pass.

Damnit Naughty Dog

I get the feeling that this may play a lot like the Uncharted series.

I am impressed, not only by the Graphics, but by the amount of options and actions available to the player and the situations you are put in. The hand to hand events in particular.

One thing that does let it down is the Pathing. I noticed several 'slides' as the character turned or walked close to a wall at an angle, the most notable example being just as he exits through the door at the begining. But they have done the climbing and stair animations very well.

Otherwise i like it. And the Girl adds quite the element to it, constantly havign to check where she is and what she is doing could get quite frustrating. Hopefully a system of commands e.g. Wait, Move, Run, Duck e.t.c is available to make it easier.

And i'm sure i'm not the only one who said 'Good Girl!' when she threw whatever it was at one of the dudes as a distraction and backstabbed the other.

If you have to actually make sure she's fine and take her with you everywhere and she can die it will be a contender for worst game of all time.

This indeed is a possibility, but she IS there and whomever is playing it, in the video, he does keeps checking on her to see where she is....

I have watched through this several times, and I still dont get what people see in it... Only thing that somewhat interested me was the atmosphere. Reminded me of the movie "The Road".

When I saw the coverage it really looked great. The real-time inventory usage is nice but what I'm most excited for is what the story will entail. How did the world get the way? What is the relationship between the PC and his female companion? All these things will hopefully have good answers to them.

It looks to me like the first properly Survival game in a while, guns seemed to be rare enough to be valuable, but common enough to be worth using, the reactions of people and versatility of combat also mad it look pretty good.
I'm going to keep looking out for this game.

Haven't seen the movie so I can't compare it.

I am really interested in this because most all shooter games are the same thing you go along and blast your way through everything. Even Uncharted's combat system is like this. While there is nothing wrong with this, combat looks very different in this game.

Your revolver isn't just a sidearm like in other games, it's your end-all-be-all weapon that you carry around. However, ammo is in such limited supply that you can't just run and gun through opponents.

With your pistol easy to run out of ammo, you have to resort to melee. And in this game, melee looks amazing. Now we don't know if all you have to do is mash out square to win while grappling (I'm really hoping it's more complex).

The story is also something intriguing. Fungus monsters take over. But have they only taken over one city, the country, the world? Same thing with the characters. Who are they and all.
