Has anyone played this game? For those that haven't, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. stands for Scavenger, Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, Robber. It is a survival horror FPS with a bit of a Fallout feel to it. It's all open world and one of, if not the most immersive games I've ever played. I sit there in the wee hours of the morning, headphones on playing this in my room and it's a feeling like no other. It's a game where you feel terror when you're hiding from a mutant, happiness when strolling through a "nice" area of the game and even sadness when an NPC you've worked with or passed by on the road die. One time there was an NPC named John Meat (The name generator is pretty hilarious) who was one of two guards outside Freedom's base who I passed quite often because I did missions for Freedom and join, thanks to my mod, joined their ranks. Because my mod, among other things, makes it so any entity can spawn anywhere, one day a Controller and some zombies (mod addition) spawned outside the Freedom base. No big deal right? Wrong. Controllers have immense psychological powers and can "zombify" Stalkers, causing them to turn hostile. So as I came out of the base to help fight the enemies off and as I was looting the bodies of the zombified Stalkers I came across John's body and had a strange moment. I felt sad about losing him. So I carried his body back to the guard post and propped him as best I could against the sandbag and laid his rifle across his lap. It was a fairly surreal moment. But so anyways has anyone played this game?
