Default Skyrim Khajit: claws and perks

Me and my brother recently bought Skyrim. I currently have a Khajit, and have been wondering whether or not to make my main melee weapon my claws. The reason I am posting this here is that I am not sure whether claws count as one handed weapons, as that would mean that I could use the one handed perks. Unless it is better just to go with daggers/bows, as I am planning on making him an assassin tyoe character.

Also, one of the heavy armour perks increases your unarmed damage by your armour rating, which could be great, though it would probably kill any chance of being a sneak.

What does Heresy think?

Sometimes i wonder 'Why is that frisbee getting bigger?', and then it hits me.

Unarmed attacks don't count as weapons in the form that they have a skill, though there is a perk where you get unarmed damage bonuses based on the AC of your gauntlets (Something people were clamoring for in Oblivion). I know Khajiit get special bonuses to unarmed based on race, but thats about it.

So it would probably be best to use the claws at first, then use daggers when I have the right perks.

Khajit do 15 damage with their claws, so they are better than most 1 handed weapons without perks at first.

As for the 'fists of steel' perk, I probably won't use it, as stealth bonuses and bow attacks should be enough until I can use the dagger perk.

Sometimes i wonder 'Why is that frisbee getting bigger?', and then it hits me.

The sneak attack perk for daggers makes them x15 damage for sneak attack and combined with the Dark brotherhood gloeves(don't remember the name) doubles sneak attack dmage with one-handed weapons, means x30 damage.

Some people are actually using the unarmed cat build, i've been tempted to try it just for fun.

Here is one such example:

I think the idea is funny initially, but a whole facebook page is really stretching the joke...

Shrouded gloves, but I use the aincent ones you get by going through jags end. There's a switch behind the first throne. Using this perk, Orc berserk rage, the gloves & easiest difficulty you can slay Alduin in one hit.
If you do the thieves Giuld quest line you'll find some gloves called the 'gloves of the pugilist' which means your claws do more damage than a deadric sword.

What if I used a dagger alongside a claw? That should mean that there is a chance of me doing double damage, and I can gain the bonus damage from perks to increase the dagger power.

Sometimes i wonder 'Why is that frisbee getting bigger?', and then it hits me.

You can do whatever you want, that's the point of the game

It's fairly easy to overpower yourself in the first 30 levels, especially with daggers (killing dragons in 1 hit) so unless you're planning on playing at max difficulty you could definitely get away with playing a claws build if you're so inclined.
