I am excited yes, but my high hopes are not invested after the abortion that is AVP on the recent AvP which had so much freaking potential.

AVP... That game... I mean, I enjoyed raping fuckers online as a Predator, but the game felt very stale.

Yes it did feel stale, for the most part it was fun, but the controls for the alien were atrocious and almost unplayble andthe single player gameplays were just way too short. The online part was ok but could have been better.

The trophy kills were probably the coolest part of it imo.

That I can agree with. This may be just me , but I feel that the FPS style is only suited for the Marine's section of the game, the Alien and the Pred. to me would have better feel if they were more in the 3rd person enviroment. That and the game itself is more suited with a keyboard and mouse control system rather than a say a PS3 controller.

It did have some aspects that made it fun, I like the whole block and parry sytem, which really made the Marine campaign more survivable.

Aliens: Colonial Marines, the new shooter based on the ever popular horror sci-fi franchise, was originally slated to hit stores this spring. However, the folks at Gearbox Software and SEGA have officially confirmed that the game has been pushed back for a fall release, saying that the title is "a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line."

While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?
