Default Yay RPing again!

Yeah, so I get to play once in a while. We have a Dark Heresy game, that is like an every two weeks thing, but has been off a couple times due to other scheduling issues.

Just started a new campaign this weekend that looks to be a regular gig!
We're playing Aberrant (White Wolf system, not the d20). Hooray for a RP heavy system for supers!

I've never actually played an RP game--an official one, really.

I've done by-the-post RP scenarios before, but thats it.

How does Dark Heresy take like?

Dark Heresy is most excellent!

I'm a huge fan of in-person, tabletop die-rolling, role playing gaming!
Getting the interaction in person, seeing people reactions to stuff you/ your character says/ does. Having to improvise, on the fly. Especially with some of the down and dirty stuff an inquisitorial team has to deal with.

Imagine this...yeah, you're an inquisitorial acolyte...you're also just one guy, all alone with a couple other acolytes. Throw too much weight around, and you can vanish pretty easily. Some folks in game might find it easier to simply flush out out an airlock than deal with the heat of an inquisitor.

Great game.

Hmm..Looks pretty awesome now that im lookin' more into it.

(I remember one of your earliest posts was a biggie on this system!)

I just don't know if i wanna invest in it yet..

Maybe my friends would be more interested in this than in 40k Tabletop!

Color me jealous, Elchimpster.

I really need to find a gaming group that's at least vaguely local... and get myself a schedule conducive to it, too.

'At two minutes to eleven, opposite the South African Brigade, at the eastern-most point reached by the British armies, a German machine-gunner, after firing off a belt without pause, was seen to stand up beside his weapon, take off his helmet, bow, and then slowly walk to the rear.' -John Buchan

Yeah, this weekend not only did we get to play the alternating Aberrant/ Dark Heresy stuff (we alternate every weekend), but Sunday we got together for some Scion action and should be trying to keep that semi regular again!

EPIC WIN!

The jealousy knows no bounds.

I've had some insanely good luck getting 'hold of some great, old RPG stuff from the eBay, lately: Twilight:2000 (1st AND 2nd. Eds!), a lot of old 2nd Ed. AD&D stuff, and even a few things for old-school classic Batteltech!

Yay!

Now... all I need is some people to game with.
