Default Who wants to help make a documentary? I need your favorite horror movie!

Ok that's a lie, I need your favorite horror movie AND your age

So I'm working on a documentary about the evolution of the horror movie and for part of my research I need to know what people's favorite horror movie is and how old they are, would the heresy community be willing to help me? Just post your favorite movie and your age and we'll be all good. Thanks in advance!

29... and its a toss up between Shaun of the Dead, and the Evil Dead series.

All modern horror sucks ass and its just out to gross people out rather then scare them... Saw, Human Centipede etc.... not worth the excrement they're made of.

22 and most horror movies don't really interest me, but the few that i do really like are

Event Horizon
Dog Soldiers (just captures the british squaddie mentality brilliantly)
Dawn of the Dead remake, purely because its zombies

Best horror movie? Anything Uwe Boll makes. I'm shocked to the core by how scary his film-making is.

Seriously though, the original Omen, Dog Soldiers, and Deathwatch. Although Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were decend but not really horror. Age... too old. Feeling Far too old. Just gonna settle with early 20's.

My favourite horror film is The Shining and I'm 34.

Most modern horror is shite, watching people being tortured to death is unpleasant but not scary although I will admit to loving the first Paranormal Activity, which to me was a new take on a classic of the genre.

Good Horror movies are not action based, they scare you slowly by changeing your perception of reality, or scare us with something that could happen.

Because of that I oddly find, movies like (and random list) 9, 12 Monkeys, Six-string Samurai, alot more scary in the long run

I'm glad a few of you guys talked about the 'new horror' because that's what I'm revealing. The crux is the most recent human centipede movie, which if any of you have the stomach to watch, will see what has become of a once great genre. Thanks guys

John Carptenter's the Thing.

not only is that one disgusting movie, but the theme, suspense and paranoia is just pure genius.
