If you are talking about the sequel which I didn't know had come out already, then I think I just threw up a bit in my mouth--excuse me for a moment. Disgust is not horror.

I remember watching The Exorcist when I was a good little Catholic boy of five. I'm not sure how long it was before I freaked the hell out, but I think it was fairly quick. My mother loves horror and we stayed for the length of the movie even as I curled up into a fetal ball and quite possibly had a breakdown. The upside is no horror movie since has ever scared me.

As for my favorite, Army of Darkness. At this point, I like my horror campy and crammed with inside jokes. If I can't be scared, then I'm damn well going to be entertained. I'm 37.

i love horrors, but if you ask me, i like the dead space series, ok, so its anime, but itsok, also, if you want a good scary game, try stalker, it gives dead space a run for its money. but most of todays horrors, arnt really scary at all, so its hard for me to say a good modern one... hmmmm

Original or meh Americanized version?

Anyhow, after I've been exposed to Lovecraftian Horror, only Asian Horror films so far scares me.

Anyone else?

Evil Dead and Shaun of the dead are my favorites. They aren't really scary though, more amusing than anything else. Im 18.

21 and Shaun of the Dead.

Most horror movies nowadays are either just gross snuff films (seriously, torturing someone for 90 minutes is not scary, just disturbing and off putting) or so bad that you can't help but laugh at them.

I can't watch old horror movies and take them seriously either because they just look so bad. Horror movies just don't age well.

Also, the premises for a lot of 'scare you' horror movies nowadays are so improbable that the sense of fear is just simply never present.

At least you're supposed to laugh at Shaun of the Dead.

The human appendix. Proof of a higher power. A divine kill switch so to speak.

No one really likes a smartass, but people tend to like a dumbass even less.
