Default Favourite Death Scene

Most shows that feature death always have a powerful death scene, when a main character dies or a villain is finally killed. I for one think these scenes are usually among the best of the show, because they showcase powerful emotions and sometimes can actually make the viewer share emotions with the characters.

My favourite death scenes are,

In Farscape when Zhaan meets her end saving the crew of Moya from a wormhole. Her grace and acceptance of her fate make this a brilliant scene, as does her acknowledgement of the family they have built and telling everybody what it is that makes them special. Its made even harsher by the fact that she could have been saved were it not for Crichton's wormhole obsession, exemplified at the end when Crichton and Harvey are watching the earth footage in his mind and Harvey asks John,

"Why is it always the gentle ones who pay the price for everyone else's ambition?"

And in response Crichton drinks the last of his beer and hurls the bottle in a rage, knowing that he is just as responsible for her death as Scorpius.

Supernatural, the Archangel Gabriel's death scene is fantastic. Through the entire season the villain Lucifer was portrayed as an victim and sympathetic character, up until this point. Gabriel shows up Lucifer by revealing the real motives behind his evil, telling him he's a spoilt child and giving this excellent quote about humans,

"Damn right they're flawed. But a lot of them try. To do better, to forgive. And you should see the Spearmint Rhino! I've been riding the pine a long time. But I'm in the game now, and I'm not on your side, or Michaels. I'm on theirs."

And of course saying that if Michael were there he'd shiv his ass too, and his actual death is very well done. The light coming from his face as he screams, and the final moments when it shows Gabriel lying dead on the floor, wings of ash burnt into the floor and emerging from his body, and Lucifer crying really make this scene memorable.

What are your favourite death scenes and why?

Weren't those crossbow bolts?

I can't pick a favorite death scene, but it would definately be one from the Final Destination series (except maybe the 4th one). Those were very creative.

Necrons W3 T0 L1

Death Korps W1 T0 L1

Dark Elves W0 T0 L0
