I echo both Boromirs and Harrys in Armageddon(say what you want about the film, the deaths scene tugged a little, mainly due to Hans Zimmers music as always though)

Will also add, Gandalfs 'death' from the Fellowship. Having not read LotR before seeing the first film, but having read the Hobbit, i was simply stunned by his apparent death scene. Couldn't believe it. Couple that with all the reactions of the Fellowship and the music, Elijah Wood was truely excellent in that scene, he geneuinly looked devastated. Brilliant.

For all the Buffy fans out there, i imagine most of you will agree with this.

Buffys death was just a perfect scene imo. The music, the meaning behind it, her acceptance of death. One of the best scenes from the whole series imo.

On a similar note, Wesleys death in Angel along with Cordys were mega aswell.

For the Greys Anatomy fans out there. Dennys death obviously. The use of Chasing Cars was beyond perfect, pretty much the standout moment of the series by most accounts.

Georges dads death was just as big for me. Falling Awake by Gary Jules is a truely beautiful song.

For those of us who love Scrubs. Bens death, or more when Dr Cox accepts/realises Bens dead. I won't lie, i had a tear in my eye at this scene.

How could I forget scrubs! that one was a tear jerker. Also add Laverne's death with that to, Bad Dream by Keane was perfect for it.

Echo... Echo... Echo... I was going to say Boromir, but... Maybe sanguineous? I love the story but no where is it ever clear enough WTF happened there.
Yeah Gandalf didnt actually die so im not sure if that counts, although it is epic and one of the greatest scenes ever.
When Ender dies in the last book... I loved that, how he died but was alive all at the same time. God I love that series...
Vader was amazing too... Qui-gon-gin was rushed but still good, they could have made that better... And padme was interesting... I liked it but it wasnt great... and that about sums that up:D

From the ending of the first Final Destination:
Carter: "So, who's next?" (followed by him getting squashed by a sign)

Also, John Hartigan's death in Sin City.
"An old man dies. A young woman lives. A fair trade. I love you, Nancy. "

The human appendix. Proof of a higher power. A divine kill switch so to speak.

No one really likes a smartass, but people tend to like a dumbass even less.

I'll admit it was good, but you clearly have not seen Space: Above and Beyond. Which incidentally, has my favorite death scene ever:

The pancakes reference may seem out of context if you haven't seen this show. If you are ANY kind of Sci-Fi fan, you'll see this show before you die. It's compulsory.

To sum up the show in 5 words: Band of Brothers in space.

I've had recurring nightmares
That I was loved for who I am
And missed the opportunity
To become a better man
