Looks like it would be better than the first three.

IMO they should have put this series out between episode 1 and 2 or between 2 and 3 because after 3 we know what happens.

Necrons W3 T0 L1

Death Korps W1 T0 L1

Dark Elves W0 T0 L0

we know part of what happens, certain significant characters from the movies feature in the cartoon and yes we know what will become of them, but there are plenty of other non movie characters that are very important and feature very hevily in the the cartoon that are not in the movies, the cartoon also explores alot of background stories of the extended universe and star wars back stories such as the Mandalorians and deathwatch, not to mention the clone trooper characters such as Rex,the cartoon also does a very good job of visiting planets and systems that are mentioned or refered to in the movies but never seen(the trailer mentions mon calamari for example) and we see younger and less experienced movie characters Mon mothma and grand moth tarkin and admiral akbar and good old chewbacca.

this is also the second set of clone wars ,a set of animated shorts was released between 2 and 3, they were popular and lead to this series being produced as Lucas figured there was a demand.

if you havent seen the cartoons and your a fan of star wars i seriously recommend doing so, they add so much to the star wars universe and many of the episodes stand up against the movies in terms of writing and drama, the first two seasons are a little child friendly but they get more mature and darker the later the series, much like the contrast between the second and third movies.

I have to agree with bitsandkits. The draw for me is the exploration of the expanded universe. Yes, everyone is familiar with the main storyline, but it's the exploration of the minor ones which draw me in and keeping me coming back. I especially like the episodes involving clone troopers. It is fascinating to watch them take on names and then develop personalities. And of course, seeing well-known characters before they became icons is always fun.
