Default Terra Nova

What do you guys think of this show? I want to say it could be bad ass but it's a Fox show. Fox has monkeyfucked me in the past and it makes me skittish to buy into it. They have a bad habit of creating great shows then screwing with the scheduling then canceling them. Also worry that it will be one long save the planet show. While I freely agree the planet is being abused I don't want a thinly disguised PSA as my prime time entertainment.

I'm similarly concerned about Fox running it. Their track record for canceling promising shows doesn't fill me with hope. Other than that, it looks really interesting.

I won't even watch a fox show unless its well into its second season, they cancel shit for next to no reason. That said this show does not look appealing in the slightest.

I think it looks cool, enough to give it a watch for a bit anyway.

So ignore that message if it is. That is if you do end up thinking the show is cool. I honestly don't understand statements like this when it comes to entertainment. When I sit down to watch a show or movie the last thing I care about is the political motivations behind it. Hell, I know a guy who absolutely refused to see Avatar (hands down the best use of 3D to date and worth seeing for that alone) because he doesn't like James Cameron's political outlook and the fact that unobtanium is not real. It's a movie about blue cat people for fucks sake, and he's worried about the periodic table .

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

I meant if it was so much a PSA that it detracted from the entertainment value of the show. It's like the obvious product placement that seems to be springing up in a lot of the new shows. The show will be progressing along and suddenly we will have a zoom in on some product and they have a verbal orgy over how great it is. Then the show continues on as it it didn't just whore itself out as a in-show commercial.
