I will most likely be seeing this movie. I don't feel that the plot is "dumb" or "unbelievable"...i mean...come on...if I felt that the plot to this movie is unbelievable then that means I'd have to feel the same way about almost every other movie out there. ie: ET, Harry Potter, Transformers...many, many more. The movies I just listed are way more "unrealistic" than Planet of the Apes. But that's because they are supposed to be, because they are movies... and work off the whole fantasy thing...just like GW does...warhammer, 40k, yadda yadda. I'm done rambling

I'll probably be seeing it, I've alywas been curious about how the apes took the planet over.

The original "Planet of the Apes" didn't happen on earth, I don't think...

Ok, I just read Wiki, the original Planet of the Apes happened on a "sister" earth around 350 light years from Earth. They reach the planet and find it ruled by apes yada yada yada. He then returns to earth after another 350 years and finds earth inhabited by intelligent apes like this sister planet. So, it's taking the original story and putting it from the Earth Point of view. However none of it happens until 2500

In fact, it looks more like the 4th and 5th movies of the original series...

So THAT'S the reason.. on an imaginary earth the movie industry reaches absurd levels of absurdity and the apes go "Screw this, any species that makes this amount of retardness doesn't deserve to be on top!". Hilarity ensues.

Saw this the weekend, and loved it. I loved the tie-ins to the original movie. I might even go see it again.

KF's Journey Through His Plastic Crack Addiction. 40k, Flames of War, Bolt Action, and more.
