http://www.bigshinyrobot.com/reviews/archives/30331

its a bit dark and shaky but you will get the general gist, a bit annoyed they are doing a full reboot with origin story, do we need it so soon after the trilogy?
anyway looks like its gonna go toe to toe with bat man so another big comic book movie year next year with these two heavyweights and possibly the avengers in there somewere too...and a superman to following year and more marvel and dc goodies to come.

HUGE BITZ RESTOCK NOW ON

I did not know that the trilogy was so old that we needed a new movie telling how Spider man turned into, well, spider man.

:sigh:

Not sure if I will watch it. Maybe.

Spider-man's supposed to be snarky and fun. This does not look snarky and fun.

Raimi's Spiderman was shite. I'm glad we're getting a new one.

I agree with this. Although I still think they were entertaining.

I have seen a bootleg version of the clip at the end of the Captain America movie this week (after the credits). It looked amazing even on a cell phone camera. I will not post any spoilers about it, but I cannot wait to get in the theater to see Captain America. The Avengers will be one of the best movies of next year as well.

As for Spiderman, I will give it a try. Christian Bale's Batman will probably be solid as usual. I will say that DC should get off their collective a$$e$ and compete with Marvel on these movies. I would love to see a Justice League movie.

It seems to me that they are trying to shift the movies to include their ultimate story lines more so than their original story lines, which would be a significant change. I know I'm going to go see it and probably hate it but whatever, its spider-man.

It's only been 9 years since the first "origin" movie. The question is, why? Why do we need another remake? Are there not other comic book super heroes who's story would make a good movie?

I'd ask them to make a Punisher movie, but after 3 shitty attempts it seems to be beyond their skill.

I think the problem is that the first movie in the trilogy was good but the next two were very meh. And Spidey has a huge fan base so of course they wish to capitalize on that as much as possible. I think this looks kinda cool and the dude they have to play Spidey looks the part more than Tobey ever will.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

I liked the first one and loved the second. Third was a massive cock up though.

I think the reason we need a reboot is because:

a - Tobey is old

b - They've used both of the best Spiderman villains already, and performed a mediocre job at best.

c - They've got Andrew Garfield.

I'm not massively keen on another origin story, but i'm very excited to see another spidey film with the new cast.
