In order of awesomeness, TV:

1. Space: Above and Beyond (Band of Brothers in SPACE, with an awesome cast)
2. Castle (The Beckett/ Castle chemistry is so real it's surreal, and this show has the best twists in any story ever)
3. Firefly (Great cast, good story romanticizing a lawless spacefaring crew of the future)
4. Band of Brothers
5. Star Trek: The Next Generation

Movies:

1. Memento (best mindfuck movie ever)
2. The Machinist (second best mindfuck movie ever)
3. Blade Runner (such a beautiful movie, with heart and soul, with strong undertones)
4. The Green Mile
5. The Prestige

Honorable mention (movie) : Primer

I've had recurring nightmares
That I was loved for who I am
And missed the opportunity
To become a better man

I don't really watch alot of movies, or even television for that matter. But here are my favorites nonetheless (in no particularly order I might add. I just can't rate them with against each other with sincere definity):

Series:
Blackadder - Surprised noone has mentioned this one, but then again, it's not for everybody. Great acting, especially after the 1st season, lots of hilarious moments and I generally enjoy Atkinsons arrogant, sarcastic humor. His best work to date.

House - Some love it, some hate it. But I love it. For the exact same reasons I like Blackadder. Funny how Hugh Laurie appears in both. Only bad thing is, when you have seen him in Blackadder, he becomes so much harder to take seriously in House. Thank god the series doesn't either.

South Park - Admittedly, it's rude, childish and not particularly original. That being said, it is those things so well, it cracks me up every time.

Family Guy - Don't want to repeat myself too much. Lovely arsinine humor.

Dexter - The only non-comedy on the list, it's also a bit iffy. But while the plot isn't the greatest, I really find the acting to be good, the characters interesting and there's plenty of action, suspense and drama to go around.

Movies:

The Prestige - I am surprised it took almost 3 pages before this was mentioned. But I thoroughly enjoy this. Michael Cane is surperb as always, Hugh Grant is unusually convincing, same goes for Bale, and Johansson provides any movie with a good dose of hot. The plot is very well written, with plenty of suspense and raised eyebrows, and while the ending isn't that surprising it still chills you to the bone. Love it.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - There's a reason why this is a classic. It's funny, intelligent, well told, well played, well written, heck, it even have one of the best soundtracks ever. Those who haven't should do so. Now. Unless you hate westerns of course.

Gladiator - Russel Crowe's best. Apply the points from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Except it's much more moving than it is funny.

The Dark Knight - All credit goes to Heath Ledger. Nuff said.

I have no idea what the last one should be, so i'm simply gonna say V for Vendetta (yes, I know). Only because Hugo Weaving does a good job of being both convincing and entertaining. Also, it's always good to see Stephen Fry on the screen, even in those slightly insignificant roles.

I like the prestige a lot, but it wouldn't get in my top 5 by any stretch.

If you can show me this version you've seen with Hugh Grant as the lead however, I may just change my mind

Lol, I brainfarted. Jackmann is one of the leads, not that prissy, gay, british cocksucker I mentioned.

And maybe it doesn't really deserve to be in the top 5. But neither does V for Vendetta if I were to pick the best of the best. But I can never make up my mind on these things. And my taste in movies likely isn't as refined as yours. After all, I just watch I find amusing, however lame it is.

Hell, one of my all time favorite sitcoms is The Drew Carey Show.

Hmm... there's so many to choose from.

1. Scrubs. I can watch this any time. Even the last season.
2. NCIS. Gibs was my nickname in the MSG. My middle names Leonard, my OC called my Lionheart for a laugh, which became braveheard, then gibson after I mouthed off when drunk at a policeman, and then that became too long, and I became Gibs. Plus, Cote is fit.
3. CSI: NY/Miami - Sinise is the best I think, but I like the stories in Miami better.
4. Burn Notice - good silly fun.
5. Spooks - well, it was.

Movies - really cannot choose these. They are all so varied it's impossible to choose.
