Crack or no crack, I`d still pick ponies over sparkley vampires.

Twilight tries to be serious and fails.

Ponies tries to be funny and succeeds.

And Dawnstar, it can`t be the story. Get checked for a crack addiction. Seriously man.

Or better still, stay on crack and watch ponies.

I bet there'll be a bunch of disappointed boyfriends when the movie comes out. There's no way they're getting laid after watching a chick flick where

Fluttershy is easily the best pony of the bunch imo. Gotta love "yay" and "YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE ME!".

Seriously check this out and tell me it's not the cutest thing ever.

And now watch this.

Just in case no one has posted this quote,

"Harry Potter is about doing what's right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend"

I remember only this one quote because it is one of the worst pieces of dialogue I have ever heard. "You are my own personal brand of heroine." I immediately turned off the movie and told her we are doing something else.
Yeah that line made me sick to my stomach when the family and I went to see the first one. I had never read the books, the trailers made it look halfway decent and when it got right down to it I love vampire movies so I went. The final straw for me was when he stood in the sun and sparkled. I literally shouted "oh fuck off" in the middle of the theater and walked out. I am sorry but there are some parts of vampire myth that should not be screwed with and that is one of them. And where the hell were their teeth? Shouldn't they have sharp canines or something?

But even the atrocious alterations to vampire myth aren't the worst thing about the movies/books. That quote from Stephen King sums it up perfectly and shows just how vapid the story is. I love to read and I love movies and in general I am willing to enjoy both of them even when they aren't the best or even all that good. I have some truly awful books that I have read multiple times because I enjoyed the overall story, same with movies of the same caliber. Conan the Destroyer is a truly awful movie as well but I dig it well enough. Twilight on the other had is just.....bad. There is nothing about that series in either paper or on screen that is worthwhile.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Personally I prefer my monsters horrible and evil, or at least a bit twisted and tortured. But, to each his own I suppose.

If you enjoy reading about sparkly vampires, go for it.
