Batman Begins: I don't know why I haven't watched this movie yet. Best super-hero movie that I've seen so far, and I'd probably say one of the best that I've seen in 2012 yet. (Verdict: 5/5)

gone back to watching a few classics: Seaquest DSV and Seven Days.

Both are rubbish, but that doesn't mean they aren't great

I rewatched all Sean Connery's Bond films over the weekend.

Its suprising that Dr.No and Thunderball were alot worse than I remembered and Diamond are Forever is just tragic.

However From Russia With Love, You Only Live Twice and of course Goldfinger were all excellent.

The only other thing I found funny was (even though I hate political correctness) there really is an awful lot of embarrassing sexism in these films, alot more than I remembered from when I was younger. I just thought it interesting that I actually cringed at a few scenes (damn you P.C damn you to hell!!!).

Overall though a fun way to spend a weekend.

Hopefully soon I'll get through Pierce Brosnon's films. They are the only other ones I own apart from Connery's (the rest are shit).

Classic Bond only works through the goggles of a Bond fan, if you try and watch them from an objective stand point they are ridiculous.

On a slightly related note:

Layer Cake: The guy ritchie film not directed by guy ritchie, which in many ways is better than a guy ritchie film.

Just finished watching Watchmen for the first time. Fantastic, and an awesome movie that I can't believe I missed out on earlier. (Verdict: 5/5)

Finally, someone who loves it for what it is and doesn't whine about what was left out

Yeah classics are immense- I often find myself watching The Dambusters or Sink the Bismark when bored.

The Iron Lady: Yeah, shut up. Not as good as I thought it was going to be as I was expecting a film charting the most successful points of Thatcher's carrer, but instead got a chronologically confused tribute to her in general. Could have cut out the modern-day bits entirely and focused more upon her time as PM, but that's entirely subjective.

Casino Royale: Really good. I've always been sceptical on Craig as Bond, but after watching this film two or three times, I've been persuaded that he's actually pretty good. Mind you, Judi Dench alone probably provides two or three of the 5-star rating.

Now just gotta watch Sweeney Todd all the way through and I'm happy...
