The live action series might be in "the pipeline" but it is still 5-10 years off.
The technology isn't ready for it yet (Lucas is waiting for the industry to play "catch up" and wants to be someone who rides on someone else's coat-tail tech for a while. Someone like James Cameron - who is one of his movie making mates).

I'd be fine with a new star wars movie as long as they didn't try to continue the current storyline. They should make an old republic film if anything.
