I'd have to say episode III as this is where it all comes together but you can't go past the originals as they were so far ahead of their time!

The Empire Strikes Back is mine. while i will admit that i dont detest the prequels the only cool part of episode 2 where the action scenes (obi vs Jango and everything on geonosis) Episode 3 was good and was actually well done in my opinion. episode 1 wasnt as bad as everyone says i think. I mean yeah Jar Jar is annoying, but it does provide for some cool build up. Also Darth maul and the Naboo star fighters are just pure awesome. Clone wars (both the movie and the tv series) are actually interesting to watch in my opinion. While the character designs and a few plots/characters/dialogue can be aimed at a more kiddish audience it does still throw bones to the older fans, and it helps shed light on a very interesting era. I would wish it focused more on other aspects of the war but supposedly the rumored live action clone wars series is supposed to do that. Plus i actually like the idea of Anakin having a padawan student of his own. Plus they have had some badass battles. Just wish Gerviouse wasnt so cartoon villain and more of a threat ala when he took down five jedi on his own. And honestly i really cant say anything bad about the originals.....ok the special editions kinda suck, but thats another reason i like Empire, Its special edition really wasnt messed around with all that much.

Some days i swear my dice are trying to get me killed.
Is it bad sportsmanship to cackle evilly during ones game?

I voted for Empire Strikes Back but I love everything that is Star Wars except the Christmas special and the ewok movie. I also enjoyed/hated the multiple Order 66 scenes in episode III.

err... whilst i'm glad that you've included The Clone Wars (even though its clearly not going to be the most popular) you've missed to of the most important ones:

The Ewok Adventure

Ewoks - The Battle of Endor

it probably won't surprise you to hear that my favourite is Return of the Jedi, it just has so much more adventure in it that the others. its closely followed by Empire Strikes Back, with A New Hope coming in some way afterwards. episode IV is a genuine classic, but as pretty much nothing happens the whole way through the film i couldn't have it any higher in the list.

episodes I, II and III are very hard to choose between. they all have strengths, but unfortunately those strengths are vastly overshadowed by there disproportion problems. the first 5 minutes of III were excellent, everything else about the trilogy is decidedly average.

i have been incredibly impressed by The Clone Wars tv series. the film managed to really capture the action and adventure inherent in Star Wars and the series totally carry that forwards (but thankfully with much less of Asoka).

4,5,6 = Greatness

1,2,3 = Lucas looking to cash in on 4,5,6's greatness & ignoring Zahn's excellent (and widely accepted as the true sequels everyone wanted) 7,8,9.
