The Empire strikes back is my favourite, but I also like elements of 1,2,3,4 and 6.

The duel in ep1 was cool. Qui-Gonn had to die. It provoked the motivation for Obi to finish training in his own way.
The Geonosis battle was epic. Jedi and clones dying by the score. Droids being blown to bits. Samuel L F*&&**%^ Jackson with a purple lightsabre.
Ep 3 had moments also.

Then again, they filmed exteriors for ep 2 across the river from me (Geonosis dunes for Dooku's escape) and I use the sand from that beach for basing minis, and I had friends working on the prequels in Sydney. Rick McCallum honors his debts on aussie film sets (and will probably mind his mouth in future as a result).*

Hey! Where'd ... Everybody ... go?

Of the original trilogy I can't pick a favorite, all three are awesome and have epic moments.

Episode IV - Obviously when Luke destroys the Death Star, Han saves Luke from Darth Vader and Obi-Wan dueling Vader.

Episode V - The escape from Hoth is awesome, the Bounty Hunters meeting and Luke vs Darth Vader.

Episode VI - Luke vs Vader and The Emperor, Vader killing the Emperor (One of Star Wars' most epic moments), the second Death Star being destroyed, and the Battle of Endor.

However of the original trilogy I only totally enjoyed Episode III, the other two were good and had their moments but I felt they were lacking in areas. Episode II had far too much talking and exposition, it was the final scenes on Geonosis that really made it good. Episode I was good but just too far removed from the others, though Qui-Gon Jinn is awesome.

I'm going to say Return of the Jedi on this one.

"It's a Trap!"

If you find any enjoyment in the prequels, you need to watch the Red Letter Media reviews of them. If you have any doubt after that, you're being clouded by the dark side of fanboi-ism.

The prequels were a travesty, and even Jedi has its flaws. (changing from Revenge to Return b/c it cost less money, ewoks from wookies to make it more marketable to children/already had a wookie toy, etc etc)

In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, there is no Common Sense.
