The UK entries are always the most comical. This year though it's just painful

Oh gods - Blue? Really? Some D-list boyband? I think i'll just hide in the corner somewhere. Still... it's better than Price.

I try to avoid it, personally.
Nothing good has ever come from it.

Hey! Where'd ... Everybody ... go?

I love Eurovision. It's alot better than people give it credit for. There may indeed be the occasional questionable costume or dance rountine but on the whole is a fantastic show with fantastic music (although admitedly the past few years have produced a few crocks). This year's was brilliant. Germany can be proud of doing a fantastic job and all the songs were great. I am very happy Azerbijan won, it clearly meant everything to them to pull it off. I can't wait for 2012.

Well I think this year's was a big step down as a competition from earlier years. Their re-use of the "postcard" video snippets and the interval act just smacked of "we're trying to save as much money as possible". Especially when compared to last year's interval act in Norway, which was both great entertainment (which is rare) and was truly inspiring (which is one in a million)

Like has been said, this^^ may very well be the best 7 minutes in ESC history.

Although I am pleased Azerbaisjan won despite the artist's lack of talent to give the nation their first win in history (which is the good part) - I am dreading to see how they can host the ESC in a satisfactory way when they can't even ramshackle a half-assed national selection... Next year might be bad.

Also, what is the "participents" deal in your sig about... Surely many many more countries are participating than that.

I love Eurovision.

But this year, the presenters were awful.

I just have one question about it. How did Azerbaijan, a non european country, win a EUROPEAN only award? It just makes no sense!

I have recently started a new Blog. I would really appreciate it if you would LOOK AT IT

Same old Eurovision.... Block voting meaning stupid points for those that didn't deserve them and better songs being marked down...

Seriously.. how could that crap Jedward song get more points then the UK with proper professionals?

I was eagerly going to watch the final until they (ABC Australia) blurted out the winner on the Sunday morning (our time), in the end i watched Dancing with the Stars.

But i have to say, as someone who has watched the ESC for over 20 years, the ESC is getting worse and it shows up that many of the artists that are great recorded can't sing shit live, many can't carry a note to save their own lives..

For me i reckon that at least three acts that should have made the final didn't and that were the Albanians, Turkish and Dana International from Israel.

I have also come to the conclusion that Britain has forever given up winning the event that is why they always choose insipid love ballads or some stupid song that comes from the ghost of a St Trinians School set.

Ultramarines are Pussies

Except Dark Angels, any chapter that sounds like a Death Metal Band can't be that bad.

We've given up because of Block Voting. Just look a the scoring every year, the countries that still use judges ALWAYS give their 12 points to their neighbours or those they're political allies with.
