ewww...the covers are kinda fugly.

I like the idea but not keen on the execution. Hopefully they'll look better in production.

When i finally start trading all my DVD's in for Blu-ray or HOLOCROM RETINA disks or whatever they come up with next I guess i'll get the complete saga.

looking at the complete saga cover, does anyone else want Luke to turn around and push Anakin over, or is it just me...?

I think the prequel trilogy box looks best, and the original is a close second. The Complete sage, dunno. I like the concept of it. I just prefer the individual covers. But I am still gona buy the complete sage.

I'll probably do what I'm doing with the Bourne Trilogy now: Waiting until the price had dropped and picking them up for a fraction of the price. I was a die-hard Star Wars fan growing up but, honestly, the prequals were so bad and some of the books that came out were such tripe that I've gone off it a little. Probably limit myself to Episodes IV-VI for nostalgia's sake.

Are they the orignial-originals, or the updated originals, or the special edition updated originals?

And it's sad I have to make such a distinction.

Not that this is particularly relevant, but:

I'm a little harsh on the prequel. It's pretty terrible when compared to the original trilogy, However:

I don't mind watching it occasionally. The plot was filled with holes, the characters were as 2D as paper and the romance was a pile of poo-poo-pancakes, but sometimes it's nice to watch movies with lots of shooting and lasers and just zone-out for a bit.

It's no work of art, but it's still entertaining.

When I was a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball...

I concur. I can go on for ages about why i'm not fond of them, but every now and again it's nice to watch lots of shiny lightsaber battles despite General Grievous being there.

I get original series on Bluray but not sure of this latest new trilogy. Was so butthurt after seeing episode 1 on theatre that i didnt know what to say anymore. Expectations were so high that ive maybe never been so disappointed on movie in my life.

If i get this latest trilogy cheap, i might use it as demodisc for my soundsystem only. Not interested in that story much at all.

The reason Episode I "failed" is due to the expectations being far to high. Higher than any movie could take on. Its not the best movie, no, personally I think it was the "weakest". I did not like the happy ending. It was to happy in a way. But Episode III is the definition of amazing. Its my personal favorite along with Episode V.
