ok watched ep 4 and bloody hell that jousting scene was graphic; its brutal abruptness surprised me i must admit!

Also despite the fair point about winter lifespans it was great to see Jon stand up for Sam in the Night's Watch....Ghost is scary lol

Finally.....bloody hell Tyrion steals the show again.......i really hope he gets out of his current predicament; he is the best character by far!

Tyrion is still real great in all his scenes, im very pleased about actors of Arya and Jon though. Both are newcomers and act really well. Tyrion maybe my overall favourite just because his lines, but storywise Arya's point of view at second book was much more interesting.

Im little suprised of that tournament thing last episode though. Was expecting tournament last just little longer by judging earlier pictures. That nasty scene with Gregor wasnt filmed, maybe for best for unnecessary animal cruelty on screen again. Or does it continue on next episode?

Im just suprised of one thing in this episode. Why did Littlefinger tell Sansa about Hounds burned face and not Hound himself like in book? Do they want to keep him unsympathetic whole season?

Wow, this series has lived up to almost all my hopes and dreams. This is proving my theory that the best way to bring a book series to media is through HBO/other movie channels as a series. Here's hoping they also start a Wheel of Time series as well.

Tyrion, Arya, Jon, and Daenarys have great story arcs and I'm looking forward to them advancing throughout the TV Series. Tyrion, funnily enough, is played by the same actor that I had used as a basis for Tyrion in the book. I guess they thought he'd play a perfect Tyrion as well.

Tournament will continue in next episode definitely, we have yet to see Flower knight.
One thing I don't like so far in series is that they portray Robert a lot worse then in books. Yes, he whores a lot, but not in everybody's view like in last episode. On the other hand,it seems to me, with all new scenes with Sercei that are not in book, they try to make us sympathize with her more.

Tournament looked a little cheap imo, but I guess they had to save money somewhere.
Overall, good adaptation so far, they couldn't do much better with screentime they have, but still far from books.

Well come the third and fourth seasons those who haven't read the books will see Cersei for the scheming, manipulative, idiotic whore that she is.

Yeah I don't like her.

Episode 5 started get some bloody violence into play. We see that tournament thing with Gregor and Flower knight + someone else. Then see Eyrie and rest is things in Kings Landing mostly.

That guy play Gregor is huge though, 215cm atleast they got him too right. Few very important scenes with Robert and one scene which atleast slightly deviated from book. But overall really good episode. Feel pity for horse.

goddamn i read this episode today b4 it aired (i am working through the book as we speak) and i wan't sure if they would show the horse scene.....damn good though!!

I am hoping that Arya's story continues as she has the potential to be a v large thorn in anyones side; still trying to work out who 2nd bloke was.

My admiration for Tyrion grows and goddamn if catelyn's sister isn't bat shit crazy!

cannot wait for next week and bleeding hell poor jory!!!!!!!!

Ok, just watched Ep 5, and I'm slightly disappointed with the first major deviation from the novel, with Renly and the Knight of Flowers being lovers. Also annoyed at the fact that Renly is a bit of a pussy. In the books he's quite an accomplished knight, even if he never fought in a war. Oh well, it's excellent so far, so I'll keep faith in the producers for now.

Renly and Knight of Flowers were hinted to be that way in books too. That scene wasnt in the book but their relationship wasnt invented for this tv-series. This was what happened "behind the scenes" in books i believe. Although i agree that Renly had more stronger personality in books.

Ned and Jaime scene was deviation from books.
